FTC Disclosure Rules — You MUST Disclose

The FTC requires clear disclosure of any material connection to a brand. This is the law, not optional.

⚠ LEGAL REQUIREMENT: If you received free product, are paid, earn commission, or have ANY material relationship with Natural Cure Labs, you must disclose it clearly in EVERY piece of content.

How to Disclose — What to Say

  • #Ad or #Advertisement
  • #Sponsored
  • #PaidPartnership
  • “Paid partnership with Natural Cure Labs”
  • “I received this product for free”
  • “I earn a commission on this”

Where to Disclose

  • Instagram/TikTok: in the first line of caption (visible without tapping ‘more’)
  • YouTube: verbally in the first 30 seconds AND in description
  • Stories: visible on screen, not hidden in small text
  • Blog: at the top of the post, before content
  • Email: clearly in the email body

What NOT to Do

  • Hide disclosure at the end of a long caption
  • Use vague language like ‘collab’ or ‘partnership’ without clarity
  • Only disclose in one platform but not others
  • Skip disclosure if you didn’t get paid but got free product
  • Bury it in hashtags (#gifted in a list of 30 tags doesn’t count)

What Happens If You Don’t Comply?

Non-compliance isn’t just a brand problem — it creates real legal and financial risk for YOU personally

FTC Action

The FTC can fine individual creators — not just brands. In recent enforcement actions, influencers have received fines exceeding $40,000 for undisclosed paid promotions and health claims.

🚫

Platform Ban

TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube can suspend or permanently ban accounts for repeated compliance violations. Losing your account means losing your entire audience and income stream.

💰

Lawsuit Risk

Creators making unsubstantiated health claims can be named in consumer protection lawsuits. Courts have held individual influencers liable alongside the brands they promoted.

🤝

Partnership Loss

NCL reserves the right to terminate affiliate relationships immediately for non-compliant content. Repeated violations result in loss of commissions, samples, and access to the program.

When in doubt — don’t post. Contact us at info@naturalcurelabs.com before publishing content you’re unsure about. We’re here to help you create great content that is also fully compliant.
