There isn't/There aren't – Negative forms��Ao descrever a sua casa, Mônica poderia dizer:������

“There isn't an attic in my house because it is a very small house.”

Nesse caso, o there isn’t seria usado para dizer que na casa dela não há um attic. Quando queremos dizer que não há determinados cômodos na casa, usamos o there isn't (no singular) e o there aren't (no plural). 

​

  • "In the house of my dreams, there isn't a laundry room." (singular)

​

  • "In the house of my dreams, there aren't any cars in the garage because it is a houseboat." (plural)
