About Prayatn Society for Environment Conservation (PSEC)
Mr. Puneet Gupta The Founder
When the founder sensed an urge for sustainable development he along with other co- founders prepared a Goal Plan for achieving a Pollution Control Environment, Sustainability, Conscious living and Heathy food chains and ecosystems through a systematic action plan which drives a holistic and balanced ecology.
The conventional approach for tackling the environmental issues around him was ineffective in this modern world of human kind and for this reason PRAYATN exists because this fragile earth deserves a Voice and needs a Solution, Change & Action.
This Vision was then propagated, and together was laid down the core body for mission Prayatn. After Five years of extensive work in year 2010 Prayatn Society for Environmental Conservation (PSEC) finally took its shape as a registered legal entity, HQ at Agra, UP, INDIA,under the Society Registration Act 1860 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

It also describes factors that acted as barriers to or assisted in the changes by analysing the past data and information collected as well as interview with the key stakeholders.
Following Are The Activities Conducted
During The Financial Year 2021-2022:
1. UNEP’s Biomedical Waste Management Training Programme Management
The approach as discussed in this report also conforms to the Prayatn Society For Environment Conservation, National Policy on Waste Management and the National Policy on Sustainable Consumption and Production Policy.
A key activity of the plan is to facilitate collection of segregated plastic waste and recycling of plastic waste as a profitable business to produce quality raw material for the plastic industry. Based on the strategic directions guided by national policy, relevant, measurable, attainable time-bound goals along with cross-cutting issues were determined through the series of consultative meetings and workshops inviting relevant stakeholders on plastics in Agra. In consideration of the need for comprehensive plastic waste management in Agra, this report was developed by the society.
BMW Management Trainings
Waste produced in the health care sector can prove highly hazardous, more so in the pandemic era. If not treated, these biomedical wastes can contribute to the rapid spread of coronavirus and other infections. Biomedical waste is any waste containing infectious or potentially infectious materials. These wastes are generated during the diagnosis, treatment, and immunization of humans and animals. Biomedical wastes can be in both solid and liquid forms. Examples of biomedical wastes include:
Effects of Biomedical Waste
The improper biomedical waste management causes severe environmental complications that in turn causes air, water and land pollution. The pollutants that cause impairment can be grouped as biological, chemical and radioactive. The radioactive waste produced as part of bio- medical waste may have se-verse effects on air, radioactive, land, human health and environment, Air Pollution Air pollution may be in indoors and outdoors atmosphere and it can be caused by pathogens. If the Biomedical waste is transported without pre-treatment or if it is dumped in open areas, pathogens can easily transfer into the atmosphere.
Types of Biomedical Waste, The world Health Organization (WHO) has categorized biomedical waste into eight categories.
They are:
materials
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPBC) has designated separate colour- coded bins to dispose of biomedical wastes as per their nature.
Yellow Bin: For anatomical waste, chemical waste, soiled waste, chemotherapy waste, discarded linen and medicines, and laboratory waste.
Red Bin: For contaminated plastic wastes
Blue Bin: For glass waste and metallic implants
Black Bin: For hazardous and other waste

4. Organic Farming Awareness Drive
Agriculture sector contributes a major portion in gross production of India. In spite of this, agriculture today is finding itself in increasing difficulties. The adverse impact of agriculture based on synthetic fertilizers and herbicides is visible in the degradation of soil fertility, quality of food, taste of food and so on.
Organic agriculture may prove to be a boon to curb these adverse effects. Hence, the present study was conceived with the broad objective of building authentic database on demographic profile of farmers pursuing organic farming, their belief and awareness regarding organic farming. Purposive random sampling was adapted to select districts, blocks and villages.
Prayatn Society for Environmental Conservation has collaborated with organic products brands for promoting clean energy and fight against climate change, with brands like Niyama Organic, Navmaati Organic, Calmative Organic. There brands are in the field of Organic wellness, food, staples, crop care and composting.
PSEC promotes swadesi products and domestic brands, for a sustainable development of the economy without harming the environment.
5. Swadesi & Organic Products Awareness Drive

6. Waste Management Awareness Program
Waste management and disposal of waste is a serious issue that we are facing nowadays. If we are not aware of proper waste management, it leads to serious issues like air pollution, water pollution, and soil pollution. By doing small practices in our daily life we can make a huge difference. For that, we all have to practice the “3R’s” in our daily life.
The 3R’s – Reuse, Reduce, Recycle
Reduce- try to reduce the use of single-use products maximum especially plastic substances.
Reuse- always try to reuse day to life things. For example, carry kit when you are going for shopping.
Recycle- try maximum to recycle or reuse things other than disposing of. Above all 3R’s will help us and our society for the proper disposal of waste management.
In a bid to raise awareness regarding effective disposal of waste, Prayatn
Society For Environment Conservation.
5. Women Empowerment is made possible by generating employment from waste handling to product making.
7. Stray Animal Emergency Helpline Number
Uttar Pradesh has many woes for men and dogs alike. Almost every day somewhere in the capital or adjoining satellite cities, you may come across a helpless dog limping or needing medical attention, not to forget the abandoned pets. A little help from you, a call, or a ride to the nearest shelter may be the difference between life and death for the injured.
Prayatn Society For Environment Conservation provide help to those who needs emergency assistance in finding medical assistance or in need of rescue.
PSEC as provide awareness on dog sterilization and the need for male stray dogs in urban locations for the safety for women, children, older citizens and other animals/dogs, Male Dog sterilization prove an effective and efficient method for dog population control in urban locations of the cities .
PSEC coordinates with other organizations and fills the gap between the Organization and the beneficiary.
8. Vermi-Compost Training Program
A training programme on the process of vermicomposting has been organized in Prayatn Society for Environment Conservation, motivating self help Groups women to invest in this activity and create micro enterprises of vermicompost. The vermicompost process is an eco-friendly method with the capacity to convert the organic waste (cow dung, excrements, etc.)
This technique uses the earthworms to transform the waste into natural and enriched manure: the vermicompost. In addition to the ability to reduce the wastes, the vermicompost is an effective bio- manure which permits, in one hand, to improve plants growth and, in the other hand, to bring them essential nutritive elements. Humanism promotes the creation of vermicompost enterprises by providing micro-credits for the women willing to invest in this activity. The vermicomposting technique presents a double benefit: it guarantees a regular income for the family while preserving the environment.
PSEC distributed certificates to the candidates which competed training successfully.
