  • Consistency and usefulness is important.

Your selection of the lexicon placed on the charter that is this regulatory document may exemplify your erudite perspicacity but should rather be selected for their pedantic generality.

Use simple consistent language in the specification.

  • Do not justify inconsistencies with "the RE has the authority to do whatever they want.“
    • Building a culture where the specifications don’t matter
  • Specifications are written to the Contractor.
    • Do not use the specifications to speak directly to subcontractors, the RE, Inspectors, etc.
