Doctor’s notes required for the following:

Vacation Homework: Students will be given make-up work upon return from vacations. Assignments are not available in advance.

  • Illness: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, communicable or contagious disease, pink eye, strep throat, rash
  • Medical or dental appointments which cannot be arranged outside of school hours
  • Religious observations

  • Transportation issues
  • Sporting events/tournaments (unless school sponsored)

A Parent note WILL NOT excuse a student under these circumstances.

Supporting Your Child At Home

  • Please be sure to check and empty your child’s folder every night
  • Master all letters and sounds
  • Read daily
  • Apply Books
  • Extra practice pages may come home based on student needs
  • Help your child learn how to tie their shoes

  1. Reminder that smart watches are not to be worn in school. Phones and watches can stay in backpacks.
  2. “Getting To Know Your Child” form
  3. Transportation Changes: email the office: mpsoffice@medinah11.org (All transportation changes have to be done by 2:00pm)
