Senior Evaluations 2025

All Seniors will meet in a one

on one appointment with their Counselor. You will get a copy of your transcript and evaluation which will include any plans for making up credits/remediation.

Ms.McCullough, Ms. Bobadilla, Ms. Peña, and Dr. Mendoza will call you in.

Ms. Guzman, Ms. Gonzalez, Mr. Jauregui and Ms. Bowling are fine if you want to make your own appointment through the secretary. If you don’t make an appointment, then they will send for you.

Credit Remediation

Edgenuity program - After school online program to make up credits, 5 credits at a time. Max credits a student can make up is 20 each semester.

Attendance is mandatory, once you are signed up for the class. This counts as a 7th period and can impact your overall attendance and eligibility.

Students must meet with their Counselor to get an Enrollment form. Class will be Monday-Thursday after school from 3:30-4:30. Once a student completes 5 credits, they can be enrolled in their next class (if needed).

Winter and Spring Intercessions are planned to make up credits: Dates and times to be determined

College Application

  • Community Colleges-students will complete their applications in their senior classes. Hartnell and MPC will visit our campus and work with you to become registered students, make a schedule for Fall 2026, and complete orientation by May, 2026.
  • CSU (Calif. State University)-applications are open October 1 and are due December 1, 2025. SHS will hold several workshops and SHS counselors want to review each students application prior to submitting.
  • UC (University of California)-open now, apply Oct. 1-Dec 1, 2025. Application workshops continue throughout November and are posted on SHS website.
  • Common App/ Private-ongoing through January, 2026. Students need to work with their counselors to get Letters of Recommendation and support.

Financial Aid

CalKIDS

  • Provides up to $1,500 in free money for college to eligible public school students.
  • To see if you qualify, visit CaliforniaCollege.edu. You'll find CalKIDS under the Financial Aid tab. Make sure to have your SSID ready.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Online form that must be completed to receive financial aid.
  • Opens October 1, 2025
  • Deadline March 2, 2026
  • Get it done as EARLY as possible.
