志願服務法的開始，讓志工與義工有了區別
志工是出自志願的工作者，是有使命感的，也必需接受訓練及負擔責任的，而自從2001公布施行《志願服務法》後，更明確的將志工與義工做區分，要通過基礎訓練，並領取手冊紀錄來服務時數，才能稱做「志工」。
也因為專業的志工，能補足公益單位人力不足的問題，有些公益單位還會補助誤餐費及交通費，甚至還有旅遊活動及尾牙喔。
而志工只要服務滿3年，累積時數達300小時以上者，還能申請服務榮譽卡，可以免費進入之公立風景區或場館喔。
簡簡單單的付出，我是熱血的義工
義工跟志工比起來，就單純很多，他們大部就是用閒暇的時間，剛好有空就來一起幫忙，不需要接受訓練，也不用累積志工時數，是一群只想簡單付出的人，例如幫忙打掃環境或參與義賣活動，比較像臨時的支援人力，如果從沒有參與公益服務的朋友，也可以先從義工開始，做個熱血的義工，相信會讓你生活增添更豐富的色彩喔～
