2020-21 School Year: PVES opened on September 8th, for all students, full-time.
Remote Learners joined live classrooms throughout the year.
Laptops, Google Slides, Weekly packets, materials, and even Virtual Field Trips were arranged ahead of time.
Students were kept safe, following all safety regulations, and school continued to be a place of high engagement.
Lunches, Specials, Band, Chorus, Virtual Musical all took place.

STANDARDS
How is a student selected to participate in Math AIS?
Students are identified based upon their performance with the NYS Next Generation Mathematics Standards in their grade level.
This is measured through a variety of formative and summative assessments (iReady, Eureka Math Module Assessments, etc.)
Additionally, the classroom teacher may identify and present a student of concern to the RTI team (Response to Intervention) who is struggling to make progress with the math standards even with continuous support in the classroom.
What occurs in Math AIS? REFLECT, LEARN, THRIVE!
REFLECT:
Students begin each session with a spiraled review of previously learned topics from the previous grade or current grade they are in.�
LEARN:
Students re-explore concepts covered currently in their classrooms and gain additional practice/interventions in a smaller sized group.
THRIVE:
Students are encouraged and expected to follow the 8 Standards for Mathematical Practice (K-4 Vertical Alignment.)
