Bio:�Austen was an open kid that always spoke his mind. His father was a strong leader, with even stronger opinions. And his mother was a ray of sunshine. She always knew exactly how to calm down Austen’s father when he was mad. Making it easier for King Clarkson to rule his country. Until Queen Cara was killed by bandits. It was a devastating blow to all of Illea, and a stab in the heart for Austen and Clarkson. They started distancing themselves from people, limiting the staff and shutting the palace doors. The only time the public would see them was on the weekly report, but the two men never said anything. Austen’s and his father had started distancing themselves from each other. It was a sad realization that the only thing they had ever had in common was Cara. Though Clarkson had started ruling forcefully and became angry, Austen started preparing. Preparing for what, he wasn’t sure. The only thing he knew was that King Clarkson was going to have the Selection, so Austen would need to choose someone. Whoever he chose, would never leave his side. In return, he’d protect his queen with his life. The last thing he wanted was for another person he loved to die. No matter how the Selection turns out, Austen is positive that he will be a good king. No matter who he ends up with by his side. We can only hope that it’s someone who truly loves him back.

Bio:�Clarkson was a hot headed child. He’d have large temper tantrums and if he didn’t like something, he’d get rid of it. Probably not the best policy for a King, that’s exactly why his family needed to get rid of it. They made the Selection in the hopes that he’d meet someone who had the ability to keep a level head, yet not get too involved. Seeing as that would bruise his ego. At first, they were concerned that there was no one like that. Until they met Cara. Cara was a 6, however she was simply brilliant. Not in the sense of looks, though she was beautiful, but in her personality. Everyone adored her, the public, the king and queen, but most importantly the Prince. Cara was a treasure in the mind of you Clarkson. She was an elegant woman that wasn’t scared of King Clarkson, unlike everybody else who thought he was intimidating. She spoke her mind, but never pressured him to make the choices she wanted him to. She only said her opinion and that was it. Clarkson always appreciated that. Many believe that’s what made him calm down and start taking advice. But then the worst possible thing happened. Cara was killed on her way back home from seeing her family. They had insisted on staying at their home and not the palace. The bandits had been given false information that the King had gone as well, when he was unwell. He’s never forgiven himself for what he caused. He distances himself from Austen because he thinks that Austen hates him, which of course he doesn’t.

She made a promise that day: that she would take care of her little sister, Emma, no matter what. And so, at the age of 18 - the age where she could take full custody of her sister - she did so without a second thought, taking her away from the foster system. It was that same year she received a lucrative offer from the government that she couldn't refuse (and the money to support both herself and her sister didn't hurt). Protective, intelligent, and hardworking are words that only begin to describe Charlotte Miller. In reality, she would have never willingly put her name into the ring to be the "wife" of the Prince - her little sister had put her name in, filling out an application without approval. The only reason she agreed: the compensation would be enough to put her little sister through college. Charlotte would likely simply end up utilizing the free time in the palace to explore the vast libraries and knowledge present - after all, she doubted the Prince would ever send a second look in her direction... right?

Her actions had the opposite effect, making him dislike and even hate her because he thought she was always flaunting how rich and powerful she was. When Venessa finally confessed her feelings for him, he rejected her and said he would never like such an ugly and shameless person like her. Venessa was very hurt and upset by his words for weeks. Her parents soon figured out what made her upset and used their money to frame the boy for a crime he didn't commit. The boy was given a life sentence and his life were ruined forever. Venessa knew what her parents did to the boy and never stopped them because she thought that he deserved it for hurting her feelings. She never got over the fact that the boy called her ugly and began her new hobby of doing whatever it takes to be beautiful. Venessa went to an acting school where she graduated, and years later became an A-List actress.

Azura's parents died about three years ago and the family is still struggling to find there way after this tragedy. Both of her parents had gotten very sick that winter and had passed away before the family could help them. Bio:�Gemma may have grown up as a five, but she was not born as one. She was born to an eight. No one is certain of the circumstances leading up to her birth, but her biological father was not in the picture, and her birth mother was living on the streets in poor health just barely getting by while pregnant with Gemma. Her father, as in the man who raised her, came across the homeless woman just prior to Gemma’s birth and gave her a warm bed for the night. By morning Gemma’s mother was gone, never to be found again. Whether she just wanted her child to grow up happy, or didn’t want to be a mother nobody knows, but Gemma grew up as happy as could be, despite poor health during her childhood. Gemma never had any siblings, or even a mother’s influence, just her father. He never married due to the girl he loved having died young and unexpectedly before they had the chance, so when Gemma came into his life he took her in as if she was his own blood, but where Gemma came from was never a secret. She grew up happily, going to school and helping her father, who was both a spoken word poet and a puppeteer. Most often she would help with the puppetry, or even act as the first audience for some poems, but when possible she would do various odd jobs for anyone that would hire her just to help with money.

Braylen and her family started out as class 4, with her fathering co-owning a pharmaceutical business with his childhood friend. Unfortunately, when Braylen was 6 her oldest brother was executed for theft, fraught, and attempted attack on a government official. Just two years later her oldest sister was forced down into class eight poverty after joining a small uprising in Belcourt, mostly lead by the executions of her brother and others.At age 13 Braylen's twin brother was caught as the victim in a fight at school and attempted to fight back, however, despite ebing the one attacked both him and the perpetrator were sent to a correction facility and Braylen hasn't seen him since.Eventually the government in her tow decided her family had been causing to many problems, they could not just kill the family, or send them class eight for they had a 13 year old and 2 year old, and the four remaining family members technically had not broken any laws. So it was decided their class would be revoked, and to 'correct' them they were demoted to seventh class, manual labour. The year after, at 14, Braylen dropped out of school just before she finished her final year of elementary, she has since worked by doing jobs for other people and classes in her town along with her parents to help support her now 5 year old brother and new 10 month old sister. In desperation to help her family Braylen put her name in for the selection, knowing it was highly unlikely she would be chosen, but willing to go in order to possible shift some views into helping her family, town or class in some way
