Nick Carraway

Nick Carraway is the narrator of the story. He is 29 years old in the beginning of the book but later on turns 30. He comes from old money meaning that his dad was rich. Nick graduated from yale and moved to West Egg, New York. He works as a bond salesmen and is neighbors with Jay Gatsby. Nick is also observant, honest and a little judgemental. From what I have gotten from the story was Nick doesn’t have a big group of friends. He is more of the guy that thinks quality is better than quantity. Nick feels that he is a honest man that does judge to much.

The Great Gatsby took place in the 1920’s. Right after World War 1 and the flu epidemic. Right before the great depression and the fall of the stock market. The story is told in different places in New York.

What Other characters think about Nick

What I think the other characters think about Nick Carraway is that he is an honest trustworthy man. You can tell a secret to him and he will keep it. People go to him if the need help with something. In the book I’m not getting any negative attitude towards Nick.

Review

I would give this book three stars because it was a great book but it was hard to read. Also I didn’t like the end of the book.
