Batteries

  • We are using the 18650 lithium-ion battery. These are rechargeable, and can provide much higher current than alkaline batteries. (Fun fact: The first three car models produced by Tesla are powered by these batteries.)

Insert Batteries

1) Insert the batteries as shown

2) Upon inserting the last battery, check that the ESP32 lights up. If it does not, remove the battery immediately; there’s an error.

Remove Batteries

For safety and to avoid draining the batteries, we should always remove the batteries when the robot is not running.

You don’t need batteries to program the robot.
