We are learning:

English & Language Arts: We enjoying our EL Reading Module about writing opinion stories. The students will be writing their opinion about various topics relating to protecting our environment and pollinators. In Letterland during the week of May 17th, we will be studying words that have air, are words (scare, straw, ect). During the week of May 24th, we will be studying ear, eer words (steering, appear, ect). Don’t forget to practice the word pattern and not just memorize individual words :)

Math: This week, we will be working on measurement as well as word problems involving measurement. Next week, we will start using Packet A from the quarter 4 materials pick up. We will be working on collecting and analyzing data.

Science: We will be starting our life cycles unit. We will be studying various stages within a life cycle as well as a deep dive into caterpillars and butterflies.

-On May 19th from 11am-12:30pm, teachers will be in the carpool lane for a drive thru event (I will send an update if this is canceled due to the gas shortage)

-Please remind students about our Dreambox and iStation practice activities are each week:

Monday: 20 minutes of iStation

Tuesday: 3 lessons in Dreambox

Wednesday: 20 mins. of iStation

Thursday: 3 lessons in Dreambox

Friday: Catch up on either one!

-On Remote Learning days, we will have NO live instruction, but attendance will be taken based on completed assignments.
