Our LCAP supports our board priorities and the graduate profile and is really how we operationalize our vision for student success. In April 2021, the Board of Education came together to establish Board priorities with the goal of providing clear direction and focus. We have one LCAP goal for each of our board priorities which are: 1) Student Achievement, 2) Family and Community Engagement, 3) Wellness, and 4) Organizational Efficiency and Effectiveness.

Not only does the LCAP align with our District Priorities, it also provides direction for the SPSA (School Plan for Student Achievement) development process at the school site level. The LCAP is where we track funding district wide. It also provides guidance to school sites to ensure alignment between the SPSAs and the LCAP.

Open up the incognito window and enter the Thought Exchange Link. Go through the initial steps, responding to questions. (See directions in the “Additional Information Section” below)
Then you are ready to walk participants through the process to enter their thoughts into the ThoughtExchange. Ask for volunteers to offer an initial idea and model the entering of 3 ideas as an example of how to use the platform (if folks are slow to volunteer, offer a first idea and then proceed).
Share that once participants finish entering all of their ideas, they’ll have the opportunity to rate the thoughts of others. Model by rating 1-2 responses.
