• Tuesday 25th:
• BANK HOLIDAYS - No class and many shops were closed
• Recommendations: Go to A Coruña or to Santiago de Compostela (by bus)
• Wednesday 26th:
• 10.00am – 02.00pm: Course
• 03.30pm – 04.30pm: University Labs

• Thursday 27th:

• Dr. Norsiah attended the e-commerce course
• AP. Dr. Norashidah and AP. Dr. Saifuzzaman attended business startup in the first day and e-commerce afterwards.
• Notes: intended to attend EMES but was cancelled.

• Purchase flight tickets
• Reservation for accommodations
• Purchase Travel Insurance Policy
• Fill up and submit Erasmus and mobility grants agreement
• Confirmation with International Summer School Program, Ferrol Industrial Campus (CIF), University A Coruna.

My Outbound Mobility Timeline

Before the Mobility

How did you initiate / come to know about the program?​

• International office UPM contacted SPE regarding the 3 Erasmus grants
• SPE identified 3 staff to represent the school and choose International Summer School Program at Ferrol Industrial Campus (CIF), University of A Coruna

​

Preparation needed before the program:

• Communicating with Erasmus personnel regarding the Erasmus program and all requirements
• Purchasing flight tickets
• Reservation for accommodations
• Purchasing Travel Insurance
• Fill up & submitting Erasmus & mobility grants agreement

During Mobility

Activities during the program week

• Welcoming speech by UAC personel and Erasmus representatives
• Payment of Erasmus Grant by cheque.
• Attended the courses everyday (except Tuesday – public holiday) from 10am to 2pm.
• Boat trip and cultural gathering

After Mobility

How did the program concludes?

• Presentation & Test – However cancelled due to time constraint
• Certificate presentation - also cancelled and the e-certificate will be e-mailed to participants

My Mobility Program Challenges

Challenges before departure

1. Late invitation caused haste in many matters
• SPLN submission and approval
• Purchasing flight ticket and reservation for accommodation

​

2. Expensive flight tickets

• due to late purchase and summer factor.

​

Challenges during our stay in Ferrol, SPAIN

• Difficulty in communication due to language barriers
• however, we manage to overcame it by using google translate.

​

• Most shops closed on Sunday & public holiday
• difficult to find food when we arrived in Ferrol

​

Challenges in official activities

• Cancellation of one of the courses
• The course is closely related to our background

​

3. Location of some social activities were not specifically mentioned
1. It was hard to locate the place of activities

Self reflection

Lesson Learnt

1. Tips to communicate with those who do not speak the same language as us.
2. Requirements in conducting event that involved international participants
3. Different way of thinking of people from various countries and background
4. Develop networking with other participants from diverse countries.
5. Learning cultural and tolerance in communication with participants and local community
6. Learning the history and iconic places of Spain

Contribution to self development

1. Raise confidence in communicating and discussing with foreign people.
2. Increase my knowledge in business startup and e-commerce
