Gift Cards

  • For students needing immediate attendance support and whose families are struggling with stable housing (McKinney Vento) E&A provides immediate food and clothing assistance
    • Each card contains 50 dollars
  • District counselor conducts intake :
    • Review need and policies and guidelines
    • Breach of contract will affect future participation in the program
    • Gift cards are intended for the students only
    • Cards will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or unable to process
  • Parent/Guardian must sign a Card Agreement every time they receive a gift card and submit a receipt after purchase
  • All Gift Cards must be labeled with, "Cannot be used to purchase Alcohol or Tobacco Products".
  • Funding Source:
    • U.S. Department of Education (ED): American Rescue Plan-Homeless Children and Youth (ARP-HCY)

  • Procedure:
    • District counselor conducts intake with the Parent/Guardian to review guidelines and procedures
    • Parent/Guardian must sign a Card Agreement every time they receive a gift card and submit a receipt after purchase
    • Cards are logged in for accounting purposes
    • Gift cards must be labeled with, "Cannot be used to purchase Alcohol or Tobacco Products".
