Completion verification: Remember there is a difference between completing coursework and having the credential awarded.

Resume item: For job seekers. Listing that you completed 60 units is not the same as listing an associate degree on your resume.

Sense of accomplishment: Earning your associate degree is a milestone. It demonstrates academic perseverance, personal growth, and dedication. Completing your associate degree proves your ability to balance coursework, manage competing priorities, and follow through on a commitment. This is especially true for non-traditional students who are either working and raising a family or both. For first-generation college students earning an associate degree can signify something greater, such as breaking generational barriers.

Educational foundation: You have mastered core college-level disciplines, critical thinking, and research skills.

7) Promotion booster: How often have you seen a job posting that says degree preferred or degree required? Having your degree removes the barrier that could prevent you from being considered for a position.
