  • Enter West Des Moines Community Schools
  • Select from dropdown
  • Either enter your last name and Student ID (numbers only) or
  • Email* and click “Search”

“Your registration is still pending. Please contact your school administrator for approval. You can log hours, but you cannot view school approved activities and your hours will not be approved by your school administrator until you are approved.”

View Activities that are Pre-Approved

  • Good News! If you volunteer for one of the organizations listed on our website: (https://communityed.wdmcs.org/silver-cord/preapproved-activities) you DO NOT need to reach out to Mrs. Bonus!!!
    • Enter these hours as a Personal Project
      • Click “Make this a recurring project”
      • You can use this each time you volunteer for this activity
        • Edit the supervisor and their contact information too when you submit your hours�
  • See previous activities that have been pre-approved
    • REMEMBER TO FIND OUT WHEN YOU VOLUNTEER THE SUPERVISOR CONTACT INFORMATION (FULL NAME, PHONE NUMBER AND CORRECT EMAIL) INFORMATION ON THE SPREADSHEET MAY NOT BE CURRENT.

If your planned activity is not from one of these places, reach out to Mrs. Bonus bonusc@wdmcs.org to pre-approve.

Log Hours and Experiences

  • From Dashboard, select Add Hours�
  • Create New personal project
  • Or add hours to a saved recurring project

***Do not use Community and Campus Opportunities.

Log the details

  • Title your activity and add a description.
    • Ongoing documented hours, as to dates/hours, should be listed here. Supervisors cannot see Comments or Reflections

  • Add attachments, but not required
    • We enjoy seeing your photos!

  • Make it a recurring project to continue using moving forward

  • Apply Interests and Career Clusters

Log the details

  • Enter the Supervisor Contact Information
    • Reference the pre-approved activities for supervisor information.
      • Email address must be correct for the approval link to reach them�
  • Submit your hours each time or monthly for each activity
    • If you served on more than one day, select the last date you worked, and list the dates and number of hours in the Project Description box
      • Example:
        • June 3, 2 Hours
        • June 5, 4 Hours

  • Add reflections

  • Select Apply to ALL Non-Exclusive Goals

  • Select the honor statement

Pending or Denied Hours?

  • If your hours have been Pending for a week+, try logging into your account
    • Click on “Add Hours”; Click on “Edit Entry” for the pending submission
    • Scroll down to make sure the Activity Verification Contact (or Supervisor) information is entered correctly, if not, Edit, Save and Submit again.
    • If the Supervisor info is correct, submit again, it could be in their Junk or Spam folder.
      • Still pending?
      • Contact Support@intellivol.com to see if there is an issue with delivery.
  • If your hours were Denied by the Silver Cord Coordinator
    • Read through the email to find out why the hours were denied
    • Log into your account and follow same steps as above to fix the issue and re-submit.
