Personality

Himari is an exceptionally sociable girl. So much so that she often pushes herself beyond not only her own comfort zone but also the people around her. She can be a tad bit oblivious in regards to varying social cues which leads her to being a bit too friendly with others despite their clear discomfort. People often find her to be a bit annoying with her sunny disposition and bubbly persona.

Despite this, she is an ambivert through and through. After awhile, she will run out of gas and practically deflate as the energy leaves her. It’s almost as if a switch has flipped, her personality changing drastically.

Although it may not be apparent at first, Himari is rather out-of-touch with her emotions and negative traits. Anything below the surface level bubbliness that she projects, she tends to ignore. When confronted by any negative aspect of herself, she tends to panic or become depressed-- the idea of being anything like her father scares her beyond belief.

Background

It was difficult, originally, for the scouts to find her. As a botanist, there were not many ways for her to showcase her talent. It was not until she started her own mini ‘business’ where she sold plants that she was known. Her knowledge on plants aided customers when they visited her since she was able to provide advice as to what the best plant would be for them based on varying conditions. Not only that, but the plants she tended to in the shop were always in perfect condition.

She eventually became the first person to identify a rare species of wildflower and how it related to other plants, successfully grow it, etc.

Aside from her history in botany, Himari has had a semi-comfortable life after moving in with her grandpa, aunt, and cousin. To support the trio, as well as herself, she sold her plants at high prices. Her parents are out of the picture, and she doesn't like to discuss it too often.

Her vast variety of greenery livened up the corner of the street that she originally lived on in Kawasaki, Japan. Himari’s flowering plants were a treasured asset and would easily brighten a person’s day as they passed.

The Ultimate Survivor

He has been through some stuff. Although he may have multiple scars, he has survived more instances than any other person and knows various survival tips.

Personality

Generally, Ryo is a reserved and quiet dude unless someone begins talking to him. He is not one to initiate conversation unless he is curious about something, yet people have often pushed the role of leadership on him. So although he prefers not to, he will converse with others at times. Based on first impressions, most may think that he is rather bland person with no interests despite this not being the case at all. It takes time for him to feel comfortable around people due to his past traumatic situations that left him feeling wary of other people. His trust issues are through the roof, hence why he tends to push people away. If he can himself and the other person from hurting from the beginning, then why not do so? It stems partially from his survivor’s guilt as he does not wish to drag anyone down with him.

Once he has finally gotten comfortable with a person, he enjoys a good laugh and deep conversations. Despite his serious nature and tone, he has been known to crack a few jokes in the past. It may be rare, but his comedic timing is either spot-on perfect or completely wrong and awkward.

Background

Initially, Ryo was born in Japan. Yet he often moved throughout his life due to the continuous overflow of tragic situations that he had managed to survive. It’s a miracle that he does not have an even worse mental state than he currently does.

Earlier in life, he was a playful child that often plays jokes on others. When his childhood home burned down, however, things began to change. He had barely escaped, the back of his upper right shoulder forever scarred with a large burn mark. By the time he was twelve, he lost his right eye. Instead of putting in a fake one, he decided that he would wear an eyepatch from now on-- and he still wears it consistently.

When Ryo looks at himself in the mirror nowadays, he can’t help but notice that most of his scars reside on the right side of his body. When looking at the left side of his body, he sees his ideal self but is then forced to recall every event he has lived through by seeing the other half of his body that is riddled with scars and other injuries.

He is unsure that he should be considered the ‘Ultimate Survivor’. Rather, he often thinks of himself as the ‘Ultimate Bad Luck’. As he got older, he began to push people away for fear of bringing them down. Especially those he cares about.

He specializes in taking care of various marine life and their habitats, along with saving marine life on few occasions.

Personality

At a quick glance, most people would probably assume that Namihei was some sort of trouble maker with no interest outside of himself. This is not the case, however. He’s a bright and charming boy that most people tend to view as an ‘older brother’ type. His friendly and easy-going nature aids him in not only his everyday life but also when he is tending to animals. Namihei has the ability to calm most down when taking care of them and then follow up later with playful behavior.

Despite his family’s best efforts, he can be rather messy and disorganized which is showcased by his long hair that is often pulled back. He prefers minimalistic clothing since everything else in his life is often messy and/or hectic. In regards to people, he forms bonds with others easily. Once he has passed through another’s barrier/walls, he finds that he can be rather protective.

Background

At the age of 13, Namihei lost his parents and one of his three siblings, Fumiko. She was the oldest just after him, age 11 at the time. Although he obviously loved and adored each family member due to their unique personalities and roles, he was closest to Fumiko and her loss hit him the hardest. Pair that with the survivor’s guilt… it all went wrong during a small boating accident. Despite the immense pain, he was grateful for the beyond miraculous survival of his two younger siblings.

After the accident, the three children lived with their grandma and her unofficial wife (the two were old upon meeting each other and did not feel the need to wed at that point). Although it may seem strange that Namihei quickly became interested/obsessed with the ocean and marine life soon after the accident, he strongly believes that the ocean is the only reason the three of them survived. That the ocean should be thanked for returning them to land (he washed up on the shore). He blames the poor weather and storms for the family’s demise. So at first, it was nothing more than repaying the ocean but it slowly grew into genuine interest as he began interning at various places such as aquariums.

Akahana had a normal childhood- almost painfully so. Her parents had a happy relationship, her and her siblings were all well taken care of and got along great, they had a rather large income and a big, warm house. Their collective lives were so happy and benign and boring that it made Akahana long for something, anything, to give her the slightest bit of excitement. That was what made her begin to play basketball as a hobby, and this hobby soon evolved into a frenetic obsession.

Akahana, from the moment she picked up the ball, seemed to have a natural talent for the sport. She could outplay every other character in her family with ease, and she became the shining star of her school’s team. The only thing that topped her talent was her passion for the sport. She’d play practically nonstop, going and going and going without food or water or breaks. She’d often be found passed out in her family’s driveway, laying under the hoop with the ball still in her arms after playing until she passed out. She would quickly aggressive and overly competitive, and she teetered on stalking with the players she admired. She was lucky to always have her friends there to stop her from going too far. Her family, however, only enabled her addiction.

Akahana’s talent soon got noticed by the rest of the country. Several talent scouts showed interest in her, and she was the only girl allowed on her school team. She was being even considered for the draft for the Miyagi Cavaliers, where she’d again be the only female on the team.

Momo is a very strange person, even after you get to know her. While her constant cat-girl behavior creeps a lot of people out and can make some hate her, some people find her strange tics very endearing and cute. On the very few occasions when she lets her guard down and drops the cat persona, she’s extremely quiet, shy, and timid. She’d never talk or get near anyone she didn’t deeply trust or wasn’t forced to be with. She’s quite passionate about her art, and it’s the only thing she can really have a long conversation with anyone about. She has a distrust of men and an extreme reaction to anything remotely sexual, either lashing out violently, vomiting, or both at the same time when exposed to even the slightest raunchy stimulus.

Momo, to say the least, had an unpleasant childhood. She was conceived in an act of sexual violence and abandoned by a biological mother who’d never wanted her at birth. She was taken into a foster home at the age of 3,and found herself in a terrible new situation. The house was filthy and disorganised, reeked of excrement, overrun with dust and cobwebs and pests and vermin. The mother of her new family was paralyzed from the neck down, confined to a wheelchair and never left the house. She’d developed into an extreme hoarder, keeping every miniscule piece of trash she collected, and a crazy cat lady, with at least twenty cats, though it’d eventually gotten to the point to where Momo lost count. Her foster mother was also neglectful of virtually everything in her life; her home, her husband who’d rather work 23 hour shifts that stay in that house with her, her own personal health, and especially Momo. She didn’t even acknowledge that Momo was in the same house, most of the time. She didn’t check to make sure that momo was fed, cleaned, or even mentally stable. She never took her to get her hair cut, to a doctor’s or dentist’s appointment, or even to get new clothes. Momo was being neglected to the point of being a nonentity. So, she did the only thing she could think of to get the love and attention she needed;She became one of her foster mother’s beloved kitty cats.

Background

She began walking around on all fours, rubbing against her foster mother’s legs, purring, meowing. And she finally got the attention that a growing child really needed. Now that she was one of the adorable kittens, her foster mother loved her, ina way that this sick woman could never really love a human. Momo soon got more and more accustomed to her new role;she crafted herself a kitty mask, began slipping cat-like mannerisms and tics into her normal, everyday school life, ate the cat food that her foster mother gave her for lack of anything else in the house to eat, and often found herself falling asleep in strange places, including on people’s laps. This strange behavior drove a lot of people away, but it- along with her quickly blossoming teenaged body- began drawing a lot of the wrong sort of people closer. And one of these people was her foster father.

Boys began to rapantly, mercilessly harass Momo. They’d play with her hair, cat-call at her, and make lewd remarks, even during the middle of classes. Her foster father, as well, began making unwanted comments and advances. All of this harrassment caused momo to develop a violent, overwhelmingly disgusted reaction to anything sexual, and also made her realize the abuse and neglect she’d been going through for so long.

After researching her biological family, she contacted her biological grandmother, who swooped in to save her from her terrible situation. Even after she’d been brought to a real home, though, Momo couldn’t get over the scars of her past. It took a long time for her to even be able to look at a man again, and she never wore any kind of tight or sexy clothes anymore and never went back to public school. She still wore her mask, and still carried all of her cat-like behaviors, afraid she’d lose all the love in her life if she didn’t. Luckily though, she was eventually able to begin recovering, after discovering the art of Kintsugi.

She learned it from closely studying her grandmother. It was one of the few things the two were able to bond over. She quickly began pouring her heart and soul into perfecting her art, becoming very emotionally attached for reasons that she just didn’t know. But maybe it was because she loved the hope it gave her, this feeling of triumph, or rebirth in the finished project. If she could but together these once-beautiful fractions and fragments, maybe she could put the few shards left of herself back together, too.

Hyosuke was born on a big, bountiful farm just outside of Tokyo. His parents were real salt of the earth types, born and raised on farms just as he was, hard workers who were dedicated to their craft. While Hyosuke’s father tended to the general business and finances on the farm, hyosuke’s mother was a beekeeper, and she taught him everything he knew. From smoke to breeding, Hyosuke learned it all, but no matter how hard he tried, he was never as good as his mother was.

Hyosuke’s father was a very secretive man, and he didn’t share a lot of things with his family. On the day before his 9th birthday, Hyosuke discovered one of his father’s secrets in a rather rude awakening. A black van pulled into their driveway, and 5 tall, tattooed men got out and confronted Hyosuke’s father. They were loan sharks from the Yakuza, and hyosuke’s father owed them more than one million dollars. They threatened to kill him, but Hyosuke jumped in instantly and promised to pay them back on his father’s behalf without thinking twice.

The yakuza members didn’t take him seriously, but jokingly allowed him to pay back his father’s debt. They would take his father prisoner until then. But When hyosuke arrived a year later at the yakuza headquarters with his first debt payment, he was given a gift from their leader: A family heirloom ring on his father’s severed hand, gift wrapped in a box. They’d betrayed their promise. They’d killed his father. But there was nothing hyosuke could do;His family still owed them millions.

Ever since then, Hyosuke dedicated his life to working off the debt, and swore to take revenge on the entire yakuza as soon as he could.

Makenna tends to change how she acts quite often. Makenna was born as the youngest of three siblings in her family. It was her, a twin brother, and a brother that was three years older than her. Her eldest brother was always the one of the family that seemed to support her love of Halloween and dressing up the most. For Makenna, since she was five years old, every day might as well have been Halloween. She was constantly dressing up as all of her favorite characters. Her parents only gave in and supported her after the death of her twin brother. With his death, and the support of her older brother, her parents began to support Makenna’s hobby. From then on she was able to improve her costumes and after a few years she started posting videos of cosplaying as various characters. All the way from building the costume and props, to the hair and makeup. Between going to conventions and posting videos online she began growing a larger following due to the quality of her cosplaying.

Carwyn is the member of the Campbell siblings that is most likely to keep to the background. After all, it’s much harder to keep up a trick if everyone sees everything you’re doing. As a magician he has had to become comfortable with misdirecting people, so that a magician never reveals all of his secrets. As much as he does find it interesting to watch someone fall for a trick, he is loyal to his family and friends. His brother is definitely the one to enjoy the spotlight and being around everyone, but Carwyn much prefers the shadows and less people. However, especially when it comes to his illusions, Carwyn can certainly put on a show.

Carwyn was born as the middle sibling of triplets, followed by his sister Freya, and after his brother Bennet. The three siblings were always very close, but its not like they had much for other friends since they didn’t grow up like most kids their age. They were always on the road, since they were born into a traveling circus. Because of this the triplets grew up learning about the circus and the different acts, so it was only normal for them to be drawn into performing themselves. Unlike his brother and sister, Carwyn chose something that wasn’t considered to be as in the spotlight. Bennet was born as the eldest of triplets, followed by his brother Carwyn and sister Freya. The three siblings were always very close, but it's not like they had much for other friends since they didn’t grow up like most kids their age. They were always on the road, since they were born into a traveling circus. Because of this the triplets grew up learning about the circus and the different acts, so it was only normal for them to be drawn into performing themselves. Bennet and Freya were drawn into the spotlight as an acrobatic duo. One could easily argue that Freya was the better acrobat of the two, but during a performance there was an accident. Freya fell, in such a way that the safety net would not have caught her, but Bennet caught her which allowed her to drop the rest of the way down with merely a sprained ankle. This act of saving Freya is what marked him as the better acrobat of the two.

Hinata is a very friendly person that likes to make people laugh. Even though he's a jokester, he's still very shy and deals with this by talking for his puppet, Boki sometimes. He still has emotional problems from when he got bullied, so his ego and feelings are fragile. He gets upset at small things and has frequent mood swings. Some people would refer to him as overly- sensitive. He also likes to do crafts when he's bored and work on making new puppets, which is somewhat hard because his vision is blurry but he rarely wears contacts or glasses. As everything was going okay, his mother suddenly lost her life. It felt like hell for Kousuke. But, everything got better over time. He and his sisters were okay and slowly, he was starting to be the talk of the town about his psychiatric abilities. A year later, he was invited to K.I.R.A, the school for very skillful people.

The only people around her age she would meet were here fellow beauty contestants. Due to his autism Hitori generally has trouble with cognitive empathy, but is fine with emotional empathy, meaning he can pick up when someone is upset but often has trouble discerning why, this is something that he himself notes. As a result, Hitori may make a decision that are considered rational and by the rules, but morally wrong or otherwise harmful such as the time he snitched on his older brother Rei when he was smoking in the house and thus getting him punished. Hitori was able to see that his brother was upset, but wasn’t able to understand why he was upset at first. This is something Hitori is actively working to improve upon with the help of others.

As a young child, Hitori Aino was raised alongside his older brother Rei by their parents. The parents of the two Aino brothers could be both considered to be people of science, Hitori’s mother Sakura being a child psychologist, and his father Hiromichi a successful aerospace engineer.

Growing up kids would often bully Hitori for being on the spectrum often painting him as an “annoying little weirdo”. The relentless bullying eventually became too much for the poor boy as it began to greatly affect his mood at home. This resulted in a rather sheltered and lonely childhood for the young Aino boy. As he didn’t have many people to interact with. The only humans he did interact with were his parents and online private teachers. He occasionally saw his brother Rei as well, but they never had a very close bond as they had a rather large age gap between them. So the only one he could really consider a friend was his lynx cat named Laserbeam. A young cat he got for his 5th birthday after endlessly begging his parents for a pet that didn’t send him immediately to the most nearby hospital.

At the young age of 7, Hitori’s love for robots began to manifest as he absolutely adored shows like Transformers, Inspector gadget etc… However, never being very satisfied with the toy version of their tv counterpart. Hitori decided to make his own robotic toys based on his favorite shows. It wasn’t until he reached his early teens that Hitori began to Robotics more seriously and began to develop more technical robots that can be used for the workforce. As well as dabble a bit in AI in order to try to fulfill the craving to form actual friendships with people his own age.

Even though the relationship Hitori has with his parents can be generally considered to be a positive one it is still far from perfect. Misses Aino often tends to be a bit too overbearing over her baby boy always wanting to micro-manage every move he makes. Too afraid of what might happen to him if he was left to his own devices. Often makes Hitori desperately want to strive for more independence and to not be seen by his parents as the fragile little boy he was when he was 6. Jesse is a relatively fun person to be around. She's the jokey type who prefers taking situations lightly, despite secretly observing the cracks in every person, the lies they put in plain sight. Background

Jesse grew up on the streets of New York, an only child. Her mother died in childbirth, leaving Jesse and her father, a retired soldier and landlord, on their own. New York was a dangerous city, and Jesse knew better to underestimate it. The bright, flashing lights would easily distract from a mugging in a shadowy alley, the busy crowds would disguise a pickpocket in its midst, and even the fanciest drink could be tampered with if left unattended. Jesse learned that the city wasn't all sunshine and rainbows the hard way at ten years old, when a shady man that had been watching her as she played in Central Park decided it would be a bright idea to try and snatch her, not seeing any mother nearby. He didn't notice Jesse's father, though, who promptly put a bullet through his leg. Despite Jesse being physically unharmed, she was still shaken by the experience, becoming more critical of the world around her.

It was when Jesse had graduated elementary school that her father decided it was time to train her how to defend herself. It started out pretty simple- he gave her an emergency whistle and pepper spray, told her not to take drinks or candies from strangers, normal stuff. But Jesse wanted more. She saw how easily her father had taken down the man that had tried to take her, and Jesse wanted to have that sense of security. Besides, a 90-pound girl wouldn't be able to take down a grown man, no matter how much pepper spray she had on her. Reluctantly, after many weeks of begging, her father agreed to take her to the shooting range, and a for her birthday a week later, Jesse got her first gun.

Jesse's father would take her to the shooting range every Saturday after that. There first few sessions consisted of him teaching Jesse the different parts of the gun, how to carry one, and proper trigger discipline. It was a month before he actually let her shoot, and when she did, she was practically a natural, picking it up quicker than any trained soldier. It wasn't long before she could hit moving targets, even mastering precision shots relatively quickly, able to hit the eye or Achilles tendon of a target at fifty feet away. Shooting was her passion- she was able to get into her zone, in a world where nobody could hurt her. Despite her great skill, she rarely had to actually pull out her gun, only every once in a while when some dimwit decided it would be intelligent to try and grab her backpack or shove her in a car.

Jesse was never really into hunting, so she settled her shooting itch by entering competitions, easily winning almost all of them. She quickly took the world by storm, a highschool girl who could outrank professional hunters and trained soldiers. That all came to a screeching halt when she was sixteen- the year her father was diagnosed with stage three non-hodgkins lymphoma. Despite treatment, the cancer would sometimes leave him so sick he could barely leave his bed, so Jesse was all but forced to quit her passion, watching her father that saved her from kidnappers and taught her to defend herself crumbling away to a shell of his former self.

Hiroshi was raised by a single father, who worked tirelessly to make the money to support both of them. When he was growing up, his father was incredibly strict about rules and tried to force Hiroshi to be a model child. His father was unable to be around constantly, which gave Hiroshi enough time to be able to sneak out without getting caught. As he got older, Hiroshi resisted his father’s rules further, directly refusing to comply with them even when his father was around. At this point, his grades plummeted, and he spent very little time at home. One of Hiroshi’s more memorable adventures was when he spent around a month raising a stray dog in his room. The dog had been found when he was walking around with his friends in a park, and Hiroshi decided to take the dog home. However, his father eventually realized that the dog existed and promptly took the dog to a shelter. Hiroshi never forgave his father for this, but he didn’t move out. He spent a lot of time hanging out with friends and often slept at the houses of friends or one of his many boyfriends. He also discovered scuba diving by going on a trip with his friends. They all took a class in scuba diving, inciting his love of fish and being underwater. He loved being able to get close to everything underwater and watching the whole ecosystem down there. Whenever he had enough time off, Hiroshi would travel to Okinawa and would go scuba diving. He started paying some attention to biology, since getting a job that would pay him to go scuba diving would probably require a degree.
