Two records of a local earthquake at a source depth of h = 6 km in eastern Germany. The strong seismic phase ? between the onsets of Pg and Sg at hypocenter distance of 122 km in the record of station BRG can not be identified by using the simplified set of travel-time curves for surface foci in Fig. 2.48. According to model calculations it is most likely the depth phase sPmP of the large amplitude overcritical reflection PmP from the Moho discontinuity.
