What is Flipgrid?

Flipgrid is a free video discussion platform from Microsoft that helps educators see and hear from every student in class and foster a fun and supportive social learning environment. In Flipgrid, educators post discussion prompts and students respond with short videos, whether they are learning in class or at home. And it’s free.

Why Flipgrid?

  • Flipgrid is a video response platform where educators can have online video discussions with students or other educators.
  • Learners reflect upon, discuss and showcase what they are learning.
  • Kumu can provide feedback to haumāna.
  • AND haumāna can provide feedback to one another.

  • A Grid is your community of learners.
  • Name your Grid and create a custom Flip code.

  • Kumu can post individual student’s Flipgrid response to their Seesaw: #Appsmash resource (page 6-7, video link included)
