“Students who are identified as gifted and participate in Dual Language programs can continue to benefit from both learning opportunities. Schools work to plan services in ways that support students’ academic strengths while also nurturing their bilingual or multilingual development. Gifted services may be provided within the Dual Language classroom by a teacher who is endorsed or working toward endorsement in gifted education, or through a collaborative consultation approach. These options help ensure students remain engaged in the Dual Language program while receiving appropriate support for their gifted needs.”
