Request: The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is requesting that each district log on to the NJTRAx Technology Readiness Tool and update records for the district and each school by December 23, 2025.

Important: Re-aligning NJTRAx with the device specifications for the NJSLA-A Assessment System and the Legacy System necessitated some changes in the way data are reported for operating systems and processors. See following slides for specifics.

All districts and schools are asked to:�

Update your District records related to Internet access and infrastructure.
Update the records for each school including technical information and school access access.
Update the Device records for each school, including:

Deleting sets of devices no longer used
Adding the central processor designation for all devices–existing and new
Updating the OS for all devices–existing and new
Adding new sets of devices recently purchased

Open the Technical Information tab, update the information, and then close it

Open the School Access tab.

If your network is schoolwide, be sure to click this box. This will add a Schoolwide designation as a “location” for your device records in this school.

Return to the data editor and select the School List again.

Repeat the process for each school.
