GP HISTORY
1990
GP birthed when a single church community erected a sign offering support to pregnant women.

1993
Austin Diocese started chapter on Feb 14th.

Recognized as Victoria Gabriel Project, 501c3.

50 Catholic and non-Catholic Churches led by Cathy McConn participated in the Gabriel Project.

Why do we do this?

The Victoria Gabriel Project protects the unborn by providing emotional, material and spiritual support for pregnant women and their families in need. We seek to plant the seed of God's love within the hearts of women and men who feel overwhelmed, lost, alone and afraid.

BMH Introduction
A residential program for pregnant mothers that meets their physical needs and provides nutritional, healthcare, and spiritual counseling and parenting and employment resources.
BMH can accommodate up to�5 mothers with 2 children each�under 5 years old.

Requirements
spiritually grounded and follow the teachings of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

In helping others in a crisis,
it is important to take a look at ourselves.
It will be difficult to be an effective helper if we have not healed from our own past hurts.

We have to be spiritually and emotionally available to these women to help them the way Christ wants us to.
So clearing out the clutter in our lives makes room for loving others.

Responsibilities
1. Establish contact within 1-3 days.
2. Complete checklist for initial visit.
3. Meet weekly with client and listen attentively to her issues.
4. Document all interactions in a google sheet.
5. Offer nonjudgmental, compassionate spiritual support.

Responsibilities cont’d
6. Minister to, pray for and encourage client throughout pregnancy and up to 2 months after full-term due date.
7. Ascertain items/services needed by client and assist in meeting those needs.
8. Complete Checkout form to collect items from Storage Room for client.
9. Communicate with the Angel Coordinator any special circumstances or problems.
10. Educate client on infant safety issues (safe sleep, formula preparation, car seat expiration dates, etc.)
