  • Adopt the textbook early with Barnes & Noble
    • Select physical or eBook option for the same title (only one option per title can be selected)
    • If selecting a physical book please get a copy to have on reserve at the library
    • Let Barnes and Noble know if you are using just the eBook if the publisher offers other tools (E.g. MindTap).

  • Provide Information about the Wolf Packed Program
    • Explain how the program works for your course (eBook, 3rd Party links, No Textbook, etc.)
    • Include Link to Website
    • Add an announcement with directions and pin it
    • Recommend adding a module with all the textbook information and links
  • NOTE: Please do not recommend students sign up for the Free Trial!

  • Supply publisher tech support phone number (Updated List by Publisher)
  • Using No Textbook or Open Educational Resources (OER), Reach out to the division secretaries to make sure the course is labeled in Banner with the Open Educational Resources Attribute
  • Add statements to syllabus about where and how they will access directions (Example Statements)

    • when shells are created and as we approach the new semester
  • includes Brightspace updates
  • includes Academic Affairs updates

  • Direct students to Verify their book order to set up delivery
  • Please ask your Publisher for a desk copy of the textbook

    • Add a link to the tool in Accessing Course Materials module
    • include step-by-step instructions for obtaining the code
    • what to do if the code is blank
    • how to apply the code
    • make sure you add links within the courses content to access the materials such as eBook, assignments, and quizzes
    • Note, the Access Course Materials link in the Wolf Packed widget will not access 3rd party content.

No Textbook Purchase Required

  • If no textbook is required
    • make sure you reach out to the division secretary to have the course listed with an Open Educational Resources Attribute in Banner
    • Post a statement in your syllabus what course materials you are using to replace the textbook (Links to articles, Lumen, Courseware by B&N, etc.)
    • Let the students know they will see “You currently have no materials associated with this course” when accessing the Access Digital eBook Course Materials link in the widget
