May 11 Report Share
On Monday, May 11 I am asking for the class to join a 10:30 Zoom office hours/ meeting to share their Influential Californian report. Many students have worked hard on this and I want to give them an opportunity to share what they’ve done.
*If your child hasn’t completed this assignment or is uncomfortable sharing they can still come and be an audience for the others.
Classroom Items Pickup
There will be a date (probably in June) where you will be able to come and pick up all the items, projects, etc. that were left in the classroom. I will add that date to the calendar when I know when it is.
Math
We are finishing up fractions and decimals this week and moving on to geometry.
Reading
We started unit 10 this week “The Power of Electricity” our learning focuses on the following:
Writing
We will finish up our research reports this week and finish the year with fun writing projects and topics.
Science
There is an optional life science unit located in the lesson plans.
Music/ PE/ Art: There are options for all of these subjects within the lesson plans
Office Hours
I am here for your children during school hours. Some kids have been taking advantage of my office hours and others have asked for 1:1 time. Please reach out to me if you child needs help.
Small Groups
When I notice a need, I schedule a small group. Those groups are communicated to your child in the google classroom and you will get an email as well.
