INTRODUCTION

  • A Report is a first hand information of some incident, event, situation that you experienced. It’s purpose is to provide clear and complete information to the particular group of readers.

A short report is written for

  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • School Notice Board
  • After instigation

A good report should contain

  • Title – an eye catching phrase.
  • By line – It is the name and the designation of the person who writes the report
  • Date – The date should be mentioned on the left side of a report.
  • A report is always written in past tense.
  • A report should answer the questions ie. “what”, ‘where’, ‘when’ and ‘how’.
  • Overall impression about the peogramme/event is advisable.

Qu. 1. You are Rachana/Rvi. You visited a free eye check-up camp for the children of slum area organized by ‘Red Cross Trust’. Write a report in not more than 60 words.

FREE EYE CHECK-UP CAMP�(by- Rachana/Ravi)

Nagpur: 25th March

Red Cross Trust organized a free check up camp for the children of slum area on the 24th March in the City Hall. Qualified eye-specialists were engaged for checking the vision. A good number of children with defective vision were identified. They were given free spectacles. Medicines were also distributed among them free of cost. The mayor of the city was invited as a chief guest for the camp. It was indeed a beneficial and well-organized camp.

JNV, Jalna: 5th December, 2020

The Debate competition was organized in JNV, JALNA by the CCA Department on 4th December 2020 in the M.P. Hall. The topic for the debate was “Online Teaching- the need of the Hour”. 18 students from all the houses participated actively in the debate. The contents and the doubts raised by the participants were thought provoking. Local MLA was the chief guest for the programme. Certificates were given to all the participants. The chief guest appreciated the efforts shown by the students. It was a great fun to witness the debate.
