We are grateful to our great-grandparents and grandparents for their glorious Victory.

My grandfather was 10 years old, when the war began. His village in Smolensk was occupied and all the villagers were sent to Poland to a concentration camp. He spend 3 years there. During this time he herded cattle

It was difficult to stay there as he was made to work hard and wasn’t given enough food

My granny’s uncle was a fighter pilot. He served with Vasili Stalin. He was very brave and was awarded with medals for destroyed enemy planes

My grandmother’s uncles displayed great courage and determination

Great-grandmother worked at the rear during the war. My granny was only 6 years old but she did her best to help her mother on the farm

Their heroic laboer was very important for our Victory
