Objective:
I can draw a self-portrait independently.
First, go to your Art Google Classroom Stream. View your class’s self-portrait art in the slide show! Click through each slide and notice things you like.

Now look at your own piece of art in the slideshow. Silently take time to answer these questions:

We have looked at different faces. We talked about using line. We drew self-portraits together. Now, you will draw a self-portrait on your own! You can look at these pictures for reference. You can make it look modern or from Renaissance times! See mine on the next slide.

Creative Response Example
I drew my self-portrait as if I was in the Renaissance. I added a hat and dress that could be from that time. You can also make yours from the Renaissance, or from modern times!
Remember to sign your name.
To submit your Creative Response to the Google Classroom...

Enter the Art Google Classroom by clicking on the chalkboard icon at the bottom of your Chromebook.
In the classroom, click on the Classwork tab at the top.
Click on the “Classwork” tab, choose today’s assignment , “Unit 3: Respond and Reflect”, and click on “View assignment” at the bottom.

To submit your assignment, click on the “Add or create” button, and choose Docs from the drop-down menu.
A blank Google Doc with your name in the title will be generated. Find the Mountain icon and click on it to see the menu.
Once you’ve clicked on the Mountain icon, go down the menu to “Camera.” Click on “Camera.”
Hold your art up in front of the camera, and click on the yellow camera button with your mouse to take the picture.
Once you’ve taken the picture, click on “Insert.”
Your photo will appear in the document.
You can click on it and a blue border will appear. Click on the squares on the blue border with your mouse if you want to make it bigger in the Doc.
Click the gray “Turn In” button in the top right corner.
If it asks you again, click “Turn in” again.
Now your work has been submitted to me!
