The new WLG model (CareerReady WLG) creates a true year-round program where youth strengthen work readiness skills, explore careers, and receive academic support, including opportunities to earn college credits and inform plans for postsecondary education.
The CareerReady WLG program will offer college level courses via Kingsborough Community College, a CUNY institution. The courses will be credit bearing and available for youth on track to graduate. Alternate instruction will be offered to youth approaching H.S. graduation requirements.
Academic instruction will be combined with DYCD provider operated Workplace Challenges, college and career exploration activities, and internships.

El nuevo WLG (CareerReady WLG) crea un verdadero programa durante todo el año donde los jóvenes fortalecen sus habilidades de preparación para el trabajo, exploran carreras y reciben apoyo académico, incluidas oportunidades para obtener créditos universitarios e informar planes para la educación postsecundaria.

�How Do Participants Get Paid?
Option 1- Direct deposit-Bank Accounts: For those who have existing bank accounts or using your parent’s account, you may have your WLG pay Directly Deposited into the bank account of their choice. Only participants enrolled in the program can apply to Direct Deposit (more information during Orientation)

¿Cómo se les paga a los participantes?
1- Cuentas bancarias de depósito directo: para aquellos que tienen cuentas bancarias existentes o que usan la cuenta de sus padres, puede hacer que su WLG pague directamente depositado en la cuenta bancaria de su elección.
