INTRODUCTION
Context
As challenges and opportunities for the future Internationalization in higher education is entering a new phase, we need a shift from internationalization abroad.
Moving from a strong focus on a small elite of mobile students and faculty administrators, programs toward internationalization at home for all members of the academic community has become more urgent than ever.
Internationalization at home is a set of different activities designed to develop intercultural and international competencies without any physical mobility.
Virtual exchanges are one of I@H activities and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) is one form of Virtual exchanges that can be implemented within a I@H strategy.

STRATEGIES FOR A SUCCESSFUL COIL IMPLEMENTATION
Collaborative Online International Learning can be successful between classes in the same or related disciplines as well as classes across disciplines.
In fact, interdisciplinary pairings often result in some of the most creative and engaging collaborations.

exit comments Ed 1
“Last but not least, as I said this experience was rich in emotions because in the beginning we was very shy to talk in English with people we don't know but later we tried to sympathize with our Slovakians friends so the work has become easy.”
“it was complicated to organize zooms with our team because we don't have the same availability. Nevertheless, this work has been very interesting, to be able to communicate in a language that we are not very familiar with.”
“Sincerely this group work has been very beneficial for me, it has strengthened my ability to work in a group and it will surely be beneficial for me for my future project, we managed to talk to each other and to work in respect, which is sometimes difficult.”
