اسمع يا اسرائيل الرب الهنا رب واحد. فتحب الرب الهك من كل قلبك و من كل نفسك و من كل قوتك. و لتكن هذه الكلمات التي انا اوصيك بها اليوم على قلبك. و قصها على اولادك و تكلم بها حين تجلس في بيتك و حين تمشي في الطريق و حين تنام و حين تقوم.
" Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD [is] one!. "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength." And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
و اربطها علامة على يدك و لتكن عصائب بين عينيك. و اكتبها على قوائم ابواب بيتك و على ابوابك. و متى اتى بك الرب الهك الى الارض التي حلف لابائك ابراهيم و اسحق و يعقوب ان يعطيك الى مدن عظيمة جيدة لم تبنها.
"You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. "You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. " So it shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build,.
و بيوت مملوءة كل خير لم تملاها و ابار محفورة لم تحفرها و كروم و زيتون لم تغرسها و اكلت و شبعت. فاحترز لئلا تنسى الرب الذي اخرجك من ارض مصر من بيت العبودية.(تث 6 : 4 – 12)
