The Polish primary school system lasts eight years and is divided into two stages: grades 1–3 and 4–8. In grades 1–3, instruction is integrated and typically taught by a single teacher, while in grades 4–8, subjects are divided into different subjects and taught by different teachers.

Schools use a grading scale from 1 to 6, where 1 is a failing grade and 6 is an excellent grade; in lower grades, descriptive grades are often used instead of grades.

Students have compulsory subjects such as Polish, mathematics, foreign languages, natural sciences (e.g., biology, geography), history, computer science, and physical education.

Our typical day usually begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends in the afternoon, no later than 3:45 p.m. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes, with a 5-minute break after each lesson. Students often volunteer with younger classes after their own lessons, as completing 20 hours of volunteering earns them extra credit for high school.

Our most important subjects are Polish, Mathematics and English because we write exams in these three subjects.

In our school rather than just normal classes we also have bilingual classes which stand out because they have more English classes a week and also chemistry and biology are in English. Apart from English we also have German classes twice a week.
