Calling all TK-8th Grade Student Scientists! We encourage everyone to participate in exploring the wonders of the scientific world and sharing their findings!

  • Students can enter as individuals or as part of a team.
  • The Science Fair is completely optional and 100% organized/funded by the PTSA. No teachers are involved and no grades are given!
  • All projects will be displayed at Esencia's Open House Night in the library on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025.
  • All participants must sign up by March 27th at the latest! All projects are due in the school library at 7:30 AM on April 3rd!
  • All participants will earn a Certificate of Participation- this is a non-competitive event!

We need parent volunteers to help with the Science Fair as we do not have a dedicated Chairperson! Please check one of these boxes on the participation form:

  • Yes, I can help set up the science fair on Wednesday, April 2nd at 1:30 PM in the library.

  • Yes, I can help clean up the science fair on Thursday, April 3rd at 7:30 PM in the library.

Key Points to Remember:

​

  1. Have FUN!

​

  • The Science Fair is about showcasing all your completed hard work. NO experiments will take place during the fair- no volcanoes exploding, no bubbling solutions, no live animals, etc. We need to keep our library CLEAN and SAFE!

​

  • Students do NOT need to be present during the science fair unless they want to! It is Open House, so we want all students to visit their classrooms FIRST and then come visit the Fair!

4. Students will be bringing their completed projects to school on the day of the Science Fair. They will “stake” their spot on a table, open up their board, and use ONLY the space in front of the board to showcase anything. Last year we had 40 students participating, so we need to make sure everyone has room!

5. NEW THIS YEAR: PTSA will be purchasing the display boards for every scientist! We will notify you when they are ready for pick-up in the front office.
