What makes an effective RVHS cue card?

No more than 3 bullet points of information. Bullet point should be one line long.

Colour coding into themes is encouraged

Reverse: one word or phrase that signposts what the cue card is about.

Ask your students to make a note of the topic linked to the PLC in the bottom right hand corner.

Encourage our students to ...

Play an active revision game using their cue cards. Why not tag this as part of their assignment?

Using the cue cards that you have created, stack them all into a pile and hand to your partner. (Mum, dad, brother, sister, cat, dog etc…)

Ask them to read out the word/ phrase on the reverse of the card.

If you can recall MOST of the information- you win the card. If you can’t- they win the card.

Whoever has the most cards at the end of the pack, wins.
