There are different types of context clues:

1. Definition – the meaning of the word is explained in the sentence

Example:

Peter is a resilient person. He thinks and acts positively by looking for ways to overcome problems.

2. Synonym – a word with the same meaning is used in the sentence

Example:

Peter is so resilient, flexible, self-reliant, and resourceful.

3. Antonym – a word with nearly opposite in meaning is used in the sentence or nearby sentences
