Context clues - are hints found within a sentence, paragraph, or passage that you can use to understand the meaning of new or unfamiliar words.

There are different types of context clues:
1. Definition – the meaning of the word is explained in the sentence
Example:
Peter is a resilient person. He thinks and acts positively by looking for ways to overcome problems.
2. Synonym – a word with the same meaning is used in the sentence
Example:
Peter is so resilient, flexible, self-reliant, and resourceful.

Peter is a resilient person. He thinks and acts positively by looking for ways to overcome problems.
3. Antonym – a word with nearly opposite in meaning is used in the sentence or nearby sentences
Example:

4. Example – an example of the word is in the sentence or nearby sentences
