Tips for Work/Life Balance for Teleworkers
It can be difficult to create boundaries between work and personal life
Do something besides work during lunch:
- Utilize your lunch break to disconnect from work. Engage in activities that refresh you, such as:
- Connecting with family or friends for a meaningful catch-up.
- Exercising, engaging in an outdoor activity, or practicing a hobby to rejuvenate your mind and body.
- Taking a brief power nap of 10-15 minutes to restore energy levels.
Disconnect from work:
- Set boundaries: Establish clear start and end times for your workday to avoid the blur between personal and professional time.
- Create a Dedicated Workspace: Designate an area in your home exclusively for work to help mentally separate work hours from leisure time.
- Embrace Flexibility: Take advantage of the flexibility that teleworking offers to integrate work tasks with personal activities smoothly, ensuring neither is neglected.
