Step 1: Check that you have the right materials

  • White paper
  • Pencil
  • Rubber
  • Paint (different colours)
  • Paint brush
  • Water (to clean brushes)
  • Black vivid
  • Ruler
  • Paper plate or card to mix paint

Step 2: Paint your background & let it dry (examples)

Step 3: Use a pencil to draw some hiapo patterns onto your artwork

A paper copy of the patterns will be shared with you.

Step 4: Use black vivid or a crayon to draw over the outlines

Be careful with the black vivid as it is permanent.

Step 5: Take a photo of your artwork and share on your blog.
