Connecting Secondary to Industry
Building Strategic Partnerships for Manufacturing Education
It was essential to get industry buy-in prior to developing programs and determining educational goals for Manufacturing programs. Partnering agencies included:
Manufacturers & Industry
Economic Alliances
Higher Education
Workforce Agencies
Bring industry partners into the classroom. Student tours to manufacturers does not educate partners on what is being learned in the classroom.
Let industry say: “Wow! I didn’t know kids were learning this in high school, I wish I had this when I was in high school.”
Connecting Industry to School Programs
We provide industry partners with an outline of our Manufacturing programs to generate interest and make alignments with the specific needs of individual manufacturers.
