The truth is, we have everything we need to be healthy, but we don’t know how to implement these changes or know what is actually most helpful for us individually. And knowing there is a better way, yet we aren’t experiencing this for ourselves can be devastating!

But it DOES NOT have to be this way!

Hi! I'm Ashley, and I created a Health + Life Coaching Program for Mental & Physical Resilience because I know how it feels to deal with depression, fatigue, overwhelm, be in constant survival mode, and feel like like I’m just going through the motions and that there is more to life. I was a burnt-out nurse who thought I learned all the answers from my conventional medical training, until I unexpectedly became the patient myself.

I am a Board-Certified Registered Nurse and have achieved mastery in my field, but I quickly learned a hard lesson: you can have all the knowledge & experience in the world… but unless you know how to listen to your body, manage your time, and prioritize yourself, and actually implement these lifestyle changes, you can never truly thrive or reach your highest potential and quality of life!

After exhausting all conventional treatment options, it was time for me to take matters into my own hands. I invested over $100,000 into all things alternative healing modalities, trauma therapy, energy work, biohacking, and personal development.

I am living a better quality of life than I could have ever imagined: I am happy, healthy, thriving, and doing what I love for a living! I am passionately on a mission to help others learn to do the same!

So, I put together a program to teach my signature methodology using all of the experience and research that has allowed me to go from survival to thriving, not just in health and wellness, but in all areas of life! That is how my coaching program came to life! I want to teach you the most important things that I’ve learned along the way!

My coaching program works best for these groups of people:

  1. Perfectionists who have extremely high standards for what they achieve & create in the world. They often obsess about doing it perfectly and have good intentions, but these tendencies ends up draining their energy and can lead to burnout. They are often extremely self-critical, don’t take action or show up until something is “perfect”, have a fear of failure and/or rejection, and often feel stressed & immense pressure in the process of achieving their goals..

  • Empaths and Caregivers (moms, nurses, attorneys, shift-workers) who are dealing with burnout because they are amazing at taking care of the needs of others, but struggle to prioritize and take care of themselves. They often feel busy, overwhelmed, short-fused and can’t seem to find the time for their own wellbeing or believe prioritizing their needs makes them “selfish”.

  • Entrepreneurs who have a service-based business and want to be able to better take care of themselves, therefore being able to show up more fully for themselves, and therefore their clients and generate more income.

  • The person who is dealing with health conditions or chronic illnesses, has seen their doctor and is stable, but feels they aren’t getting better or where they’d like to be. They may or may not be on medication, but want to address lifestyle changes to address the root cause(s) and possibly reduce the need for medications, or even get off of them entirely. **IF appropriate and cleared by their medical provider. I do not help clients come off of medications.

WHO I WORK WITH

  • I am a high-school dropout with a GED who later went to one of the top nursing schools in the country after being told it would never happen. I am unrealistic goal achiever and help you learn to become that type of person too!
  • ​I have 2 health-related Bachelor’s degrees: I studied Physical Education: Health Promotion at College of Charleston and Nursing at Duke University School of Nursing. I also have a Health + Life coaching Certification from Health Coach Institute (completed in 2019), and became Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach in September 2022. I plan to sit for the national board-certification exam in July 2023 to demonstrate mastery in my field.
  • I am a Board-Certified Registered Nurse who worked at the bedside in the hospital starting in 2013. This experience has helped me to understand what illness truly looks like. I believe deeply that I am of much higher service as a coach who is empowering people by learning how to take care of themselves and thrive, rather than in my role as a well-respected nurse.
  • I have learned to overcome and manage mental health issues like anxiety & depression that I struggled with since the age of 15 (and I am now 34). I am living my best quality of life! I am living proof that healing is possible.
  • I was covered in full-body hives for months, with the option of managing my symptoms only with medication as an answer. I refused to accept this as my reality! I have fully healed and no longer deal with rashes or other health issues.
  • ​I support you with LIVE video call for 90 minutes on Week 1, and 30 minute check-ins once per week for the rest of the 3 month period, as well as voice note support via Healthie (up to 3 hours per month is included) and unlimited text support on Healthie.
  • The course includes educational modules designed to help you learn the foundation for how to create a healthy lifestyle to overcome emotional and physical burnout and live your best life!

HOW IT WORKS

You cannot have a great life without your health, but many have not yet learned and embodied the life skills that facilitate the achievement of their goals!

Someone can have the best health protocol in the world put together by the best doctor, but that doesn’t always mean a person follows through with it.

As challenges arise, we work through the obstacles and blind spots that are holding you back. This helps you learn skills and methods (that you will have for life) to achieve your future goals too!

We cover the 5 pillars of Functional Medicine Health Coaching, as well as the life skills necessary to follow through on the goals you set for yourself. We use the Oura Ring and a CGM as feedback tools so you can learn what works for your body, as bio-individuality is key! One size does not fit all and it can be overwhelming to know what best serves you in a world of information overload!

Once you know what serves you and how to take care of yourself, you will have this information for life! The goal is to prevent health conditions and to improve your quality of life now and in the future.

When you sign up to work with me as your coach, we’ll start off with a one-on-one phone call to talk more about your vision and goals. From there, we develop a customized plan to move you through the following steps:

STEP 1: ESTABLISH A BASELINE

In Week 1, we do a thorough intake of your life: the 5 pillars of functional medicine health coaching (sleep & restoration, exercise, nourishment, stress, and relationships), as well as lifestyle plan that works and is realistic for you, mindset and beliefs, and a timeline of your personal history. We do this to establish a baseline, get really clear on what it is you need specifically, and set goals for the next 90 days. One size does not fit all and we want to co-create a plan that truly serves you! The second call is 90 minutes and we review everything in detail. Please know there is absolutely no judgement for where you are today or any of your answers.

STEP 2: CREATE YOUR VISION

Before you can create a plan, it’s critical that you are clear on what you are working towards and where you want to be. Many people want “better”, but aren’t clear on what that looks like for them. We look at many areas of your life and choose an 1-2 major areas that are top priority to you to focus on during our 12 weeks together. Most clients choose health and wellness goals, but it can be related to whatever will serve you the most in your life.

STEP 3: TAKE ALIGNED ACTION

Once you establish a baseline, create a vision and make a plan, it’s time to take action! Not just any action, but intentional actions that intentionally take you closer to where you’d like to be. Each week, we review what went well and what didn’t go well and update the plan accordingly.

STEP 4: WORK THROUGH CHALLENGES

Many of us don’t see the behind the scenes for “successful” people, but the truth is, successful people DO have challenges. They just know how to work through them and keep going! This is where we do mindset work and identify limiting beliefs + patterns that have been holding you back. These can include self-sabotage, perfectionism, procrastination, fear of success, and other behavioral patterns that prevent us from getting the outcomes we would like to have. Once we learn how to work through these blocks, it makes it easier to work through challenges that arise in the future! This is the real work in coaching!

STEP 5: GOAL ACHIEVEMENT

The path to success is not linear. By working together for 12 weeks, you begin to build confidence in yourself and your own ability to problem solve on your own with new techniques and tools we have applied within the coaching container.
