THE BOOK OF REVELATION AND OUR PLANET'S DESTINY
The
Development
Of Events
Today it is still possible to be saved.
We are living in the time of grace.
With what urgent
petition does God address humanity?
Revelation 14:6-7
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters..”
Soon the door of grace will close. All opportunity to choose God's way will come to an end, and Christ will stop interceding for men.
What will then
be heard in heaven?
Revelation 22:11
“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.”
What will come after the time of grace is over?
Daniel 12:1
“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.”
What is the name
of the terrible war
that will break out
during the sixth plague?
Revelation 16:16
“And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”
Who will win this war?
Christ will be the great victor
Revelation 19:13-16
“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called THE WORD OF GOD.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean...
Revelation 19:13-16
…And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
EVENTS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MILLENIUM
What event will mark the end of the world and the beginning of the one-thousand-year period?
Revelation 14:14-16
“And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.”
After a great earthquake, what will happen to those who have died in Christ?
1 Thessalonians 4:16
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
What will happen to those who are resurrected and the righteous who are alive at Jesus' coming?
1 Thessalonians 4:17
“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
What will happen to the wicked who are still alive when Jesus comes?
2 Thessalonians 1:7-9
“…when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power
EVENTS DURING
THE MILLENNIUM
What
will happen to Satan?
Revelation 20:1-3
“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”
What will the earth be like during the one thousand years?
Jeremiah 4:23-27
“I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger. For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.”
What will the saints (redeemed ones) do in heaven?
Revelation 20:4
“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
EVENTS
AT THE END
OF THE MILLENNIUM
Jesus will come to this earth after a thousand years.
Who will accompany Him?
Zechariah 14:4-6
“And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south…
Zechariah 14:4-6
…And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark.”
What did the Apostle John see coming down from heaven?
Revelation 21:2
“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”
What will the happen to those still in their graves, (the wicked)?
Revelation 20:5
“But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.”
What will happen to Satan?
Revelation 20:7
“And when the thousand years are expired,
Satan shall be loosed out of his prison.”
What will fall from heaven as Satan and the wicked move to attack the city?
Revelation 20:9
“And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.”
What will
God do with
the earth after
it has been purified?
2 Peter 3:11-13
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The next topic: "Vision of a better world”
Will it be God's purpose to leave us in this world of suffering?
For many, life has become a nightmare. Disease, anguish, the struggle for bread, misunderstandings and disappointments we face in this life, lead us to the question. Will there be anything beyond? Will there be a better life?
In our next topic we will see a panoramic description of the world best.
GOD BLESS YOU!
