Mindful Mondays & Community Circles - Tier 1

Second Step Curriculum & Daily Engagement Guide: Created for Belvedere Elementary

Purpose: As a foundational component of our school-wide PBIS Tier 1 supports and expectations, this initiative promotes individual, peer, and classroom success by equipping students with essential social skills through the Second Step curriculum and Daily Community Circles.

1. Account Setup

Deadline: August 21st

All teachers are requested to log in to their Second Step accounts. Contact Sue Young immediately if you experience issues so we can resolve them.

2. Schedule & Expectations

Grade levels will follow the Marking Period School-Based Calendar using the lesson schedule provided in the BES document from the School Counselor.

3. Weekly Structure

Mondays: 30-min Digital Second Step Lessons.

Tue-Fri: 10-min Daily Community Circles using recommended prompts or custom questions.

4. Completion Goal

Goal: 100% Completion

Homeroom teachers are expected to complete 100% of Second Step lessons by June 7, 2027.
