Google Classroom aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.

Four main areas of Google Classroom

• Stream - Communication space - This is where you can talk to your class, Use the stream to share announcements, post assignments and respond to student questions
• Classwork - This is where you'll assign work. You can add assignments and other work for the class, then organise it into topics
• People - who is in the class
• Marks - This is where you'll view and manage grades

Adding students to Google Classroom

Teachers can add students to Google Classroom by either sending them a link, or by adding their email addresses.

Teachers can share a link to invite students to their Google Classroom class, which makes joining a class much easier.

Meet & Google Classroom

As the teacher of a class in Google Classroom you can add a co-teacher as a co-host to your Meet’s they can then use the Meet link without you. �

Teachers need to joining the Meet before students can join. They will wait in the “waiting room”.

People not on the class roster(visible under People) will have to ask to join the meetings.
