Intro to App Concept

4 of 22

The Problem

  • Mild autistic children are forced to adapt to social life without being able to use the adaptive elements of typical children, as they lack social communication skills (Yousef et al., 2021).

  • Social communication deficiency for mildly autistic children resembles a drawback for both children and parents (Ibrahimagic et al., 2021).

  • There are approximately 80 million individuals with autism worldwide; the majority of them having mild autism (WHO, 2023).

Digital Assessment

The app is the first of its kind to utilizes video call technology to facilitate real-time interactions between children, allowing them to practice social skills in a safe, controlled environment.

The app features a child-friendly UI/UX designed specifically for autistic children, incorporating colors and elements that are visually appealing and calming.

By creating a gamified learning experience, the app turns the development of social skills into an exciting adventure. Children earn points, unlock features, and receive rewards for completing tasks, all within the context of playful games.

Using a personalized positive reinforcement system (Paired Stimulus Preference Assessment) based on each child's preferences, the app motivates children to participate and progress.

Voice Instructions

The app includes engaging voice instructions with AI Text-To-Speech Algorithm, provided in fun, recognizable voices such as Mickey Mouse to help the children navigate the app independently.

The Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ) Standard that is used to assess social communication level, is digitally integrated in the application to facilitate assessment for the psychiatrists as well as saving the environment by reducing paper.
