Goals for the Biennium:

  • Become familiar with the publication routine of NC Data
  • Provide chapter presidents and newsletter editors with up-to-date information to be used by presidents to conduct chapter business and editors to share in chapter newsletters
  • Develop archive of Eta Data and NC Data issues
  • Participate in New Leader Training for new chapter officers
  • Maintain email distribution lists of NC DKG officers, leaders, committee chairs, chapter presidents, and chapter editors for distribution of NC Data

  • Publish a contemporary, professional, informative newsletter for the members of NC DKG on a quarterly basis
  • Support state leaders, chapter presidents, editors, and members with communication and marketing needs

Goals for the Biennium:

  • Update the NC DKG website with information about state and international events
  • Help chapters create and update their websites to meet DKG International guidelines
  • Continue to support and encourage chapters who do not have a chapter website to create one
  • Continue to increase the number of DKG International-compliant websites in NC DKG
  • Share information about the DKG International website compliance assurance process, which will be due in October 2024.
  • Work with NC DKG Ad Hoc Technology Committee to create videos and provide training for members
  • Post updates from NC DKG and DKG International to Facebook to keep members informed

  • Organize and preside over recognition ceremonies at the NC DKG state conventions

  • Make recommendations concerning personnel policies when necessary to the NC DKG Executive Board
  • Screen applicants and recommend candidates for related personnel positions when a vacancy occurs
  • Explore a logical succession plan for a related personnel position
  • Offer support to all designated personnel

  • Develop an evaluation process for the use and effectiveness of Google Workspace

Notes:

  • Will hold a training session on October 1, 2024, with all ncdkg.org email holders
  • NC DKG Gmail accounts are required to be used by all members they have been provided for. Reimbursements will not be approved unless submitted through NCDKG accounts
  • Will survey attendees of the NC DKG Fall 2024 Executive Board Meeting regarding future training

Article XIV, Section 1 Automatic Update

The Rules Committee is authorized to make any changes necessary to bring NC DKG Bylaws and Standing Rules into compliance with the amendments to the International Constitution and Standing Rules. The Rules Committee will notify the membership of amendments subsequent to the convention in the fall edition of the state newsletter and on the state website.
