Big Changes From Badger:

  • Tool configuration requests (such as precursor/target requests) will now be done when the reservation is made, instead of a Badger comment
  • Mailing lists are now handled by NEMO
  • Adjustment Requests are done through NEMO

Signing Into Nemo

  • SUNet ID and two factor authentication are required
  • You will need to re-authenticate the two factor authentication every 24 hours
    • Downloading DUO makes this a lot easier!
  • Industry users: if you do not have, or do not know your SUNet ID, contact support email

Seeing Multiple Tool Calendars

  • Select the checkboxes next to the tool calendars you would like to see
  • If you are in the Tool Control menu, this option will not be available

Making a Reservation

  • Must be Qualified on Tool
    • Tools you are qualified on appear as a darker blue in the tool tree
  • Calendar View -> Click and Drag the reservation time
  • To edit a future reservation, double click the reservation box

Enabling a Tool

  • Tool Control Tab -> “Use this tool for my own project” -> “Start Using”
  • Lab members select which project they would like to charge the time too

  • Tool Control -> Summary tab -> “Stop Using”

Making a Comment

  • Tool Control -> Post a Comment
  • Comment is displayed under Summary
  • (Note that the Kiosk cannot be used for Comments as yet.)

Comment Updates

  • Once a comment has been made, staff members and users may update the comments as progress is made on the task, or information becomes available.
  • Expand the comment to view details and the latest information using the arrow

Comments and Shutdowns

  • Tool Control -> select tool -> Report a Problem/Post a Comment
  • Any Lab Member can shut down any tool, regardless of qualification status
  • Lab Members can cancel shutdown comments that they created

NEW: Adjustment Requests

  • Requests -> New Adjustment Request
  • Select which enable you would like adjusted. Time adjustment is then sent to the Tool Owner for review.

  • Tool Control -> Details
  • NEMO allows emails to users with upcoming reservations!
    • For example, if you are finished on the AJA early, you can email upcoming users informing them the tool is available earlier

  • Details on the left column are accurate, but calculated charges in the middle and right columns are NOT. (The calculations are still a work in progress.)

NEW: Kiosk

  • To be able to use the kiosk, you must first scan your card at the entrance of the SNF cleanroom and fill out the google form with your SUNet ID. Your card information will be added to NEMO for kiosk access shortly after.
  • Phones are not compatible with the Kiosk system at this time - we are working on it!
  • Kiosks will be located at stations around the lab

  • Quickly enable and disable tools
  • Make reservations (not as easy as desktop/mobile)
  • No two factor authentication required
  • Purchase consumables
  • Comment on tools
  • Shut Down tools

NEW: Kiosk

  • Tap your Stanford ID on the Kiosk card reader->select tool->enable/disable/make reservation
  • Kiosk has a timer in the lower right corner. Displays time out after 60-75 seconds
