Warm up:
1. Who is Khalid Al Siyabi and what is his achievement?
He is the first Omani to climb Mount Everest.
2. To know more about Omani achievements, look at the picture on CB p.22 and the title of the unit and guess what we are going to talk about.
The unit will be about the Jewel of Muscat.
3. Have you ever heard of Jewel of Muscat?
She is the accurate copy of a 9th century Arab trading ship.
She sailed from Muscat to Singapore in February 2010.
The voyage of Jewel of Muscat is another great Omani achievement.
