Whatever you are doing or wherever you are on your journey, you are looking for a tribe of like minded women who have your back for whatever 2018 has in store.
Diversity and inclusion really matters to us - we welcome women from all backgrounds. We have bursaries available to widen participation and would gladly talk to you about how we can accommodate your specific needs.
What’s included?
What’s not:
The Escape
“This retreat was life changing. At its essence it was a weekend in beautiful surroundings, with extraordinary people, being nourished in all senses of the word. But for me it was so much more. It was an opportunity and a space to confront fears I didn't know I had and reclaim dreams I had almost forgotten. I left that field feeling more powerful than I've ever felt and the decisions and commitments I made that weekend have profoundly shaped my life since. No matter who you are or what you're looking for, just go!!“
Hannah Temple
Why attend?
We believe space to dream, explore, and vision your future isn’t just important, it’s imperative. Without this direction it’s easy to get stuck, feel lost, and lose momentum.
Likewise, digging into what resilience looks like for you, and creating rituals and habits that support you in maintaining your wellbeing, and help you to avoid burnout and overwhelm, have never been more important.
This Escape is the perfect opportunity, in a group of supportive peers, to ask these deeper questions, to explore your values, create your purpose, and allow you to design your future and feel confident getting there.
Is it right for me?
"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." Proverb.
There really is no perfect or right time to go on a weekend like this and we find women arrive at really different points in their lives. Some are burnt out or close to it, some are at a big life junction, some are so close to their goals but afraid of taking the next step into making them a reality. Some just need a bit of a helping hand.
However, mindset really does matter. This weekend is perfect for you if you are ready to go a bit deeper on your personal growth, want to commit to a peer cohort or ‘goal buddy’, and are willing to work on your goals in the months after the retreat. You must also be able to commit to about four hours of pre-work before you arrive.
The weekend is also a huge amount of fun with plenty of time to rest, laugh and play.
“This wasn't some hippy dippy ladies retreat. This wasn't some retreat where nails were painted, or braiding of hair took place. This was the place where sheroes retreated, to paint their battle faces strong and braid their commitment and values into their hearts to make a change, so that they can go back into the world, strong and full and ready. And I am one of them!”

Bethan is an expert in community design and facilitation and specialises in creating spaces where people and groups bring their best selves. She has led away days, workshops and programmes with the world’s biggest brands, national governments, NGOS, as well as grassroots activists and creatives.
Bethan started these retreats after struggling with burnout in 2016. She felt she had nowhere to turn and wanted to create more safe, honest, supportive and nurturing spaces for women like her to bounce back. Bethan is passionate about the role of female led communities in helping us be more brave, impactful and resilient.
As well as designing and facilitating the weekend, she’ll be the one leading the dash to the river for wild swimming each morning.
Joey Clifton
Joey is a certified, professional coach and NLP practitioner who loves to support ambitious people doing great work in the world, as they become more resilient and increase their professional impact.
Having learnt the hard way, Joey believes passionately that we have to get our personal sustainability in order before we can have the impact we want as professionals. Resilience and self worth are vital ingredients in this.
The other thing you should know is she has an unfaltering belief in human potential - nothing is impossible.
Joey will be designing and facilitating the retreat, as well as providing 1-1 coaching throughout the weekend. She is an incredible listener, has the warmest smile in town and excels at building bonfires.
Emily Woollcombe Adams
Em’s kitchen is the ‘heart’ of the retreat in every way possible. She is the most wonderful listener, has the most infectious laugh and is always on hand if you want to have a bit of quiet time baking or creating the next meal. Whether you have 2 Michelin Stars or are a complete stranger to a carrot, Em’s kitchen is open to all.
Em took the leap in 2017 to change her hobby into a job and made the move from film producer to catering business owner and is always happy to share her experiences, fears and challenges over some onion chopping or a glass of wine.
As well as feeding us all weekend, Em will offer up cooking workshops to those who want to learn to make healthy, plant based recipes.
Sophie Thomas
Sophie came on our first retreat and has been an integral part of our community ever since.
She is a set and costume designer and is passionate about making women feel their best in their own bodies. In 2017, she blew a room full of people away with her Do Lectures talk on why we need to start paying more attention to each other.
Sophie has a unique gift in her ability to get to know each and every person on camp. As well as using her creative wizardry to create the most beautiful space possible, and help the retreat run smoothly, she’ll be sharing her creative tips and tools through writing workshops.
