VALLEY ROP’S MISSION
CTE MODEL CURRICULUM STANDARDS
DEPTH OF KNOWLEDGE
Depth of Knowledge measures how deeply students know, understand, and are aware of what they are learning to answer a question or solve a problem. It categorizes tasks by the complexity of thinking—not difficulty—used to complete them.
EVALUATION PROCESS - BLOOM’S TAXONOMY
Higher Order Thinking with Bloom’s Taxonomy
Bloom identified six levels within the cognitive domain, from the simple recall or recognition of facts, as the lowest level, through increasingly more complex and abstract mental levels, to the highest order which is classified as evaluation. Verb examples that represent intellectual activity on each level are listed here.
Higher order thinking skills are essential in Career Technical Education. Below each level has been expanded to show how a teacher might incorporate Bloom’s Taxonomy into their instructional strategy.
It’s what our students do EVERYDAY!
