The LED light indicates whether the marker is primary (white) or secondary (blue, green, red, orange, or purple). It will turn off after 15 seconds to save battery.

*The front LED light will turn off after 15 seconds to save battery. Tap the power button to turn it on again.

Recording with Teams by Swivl:
The App
Starting a Recording
Within the Teams app home screen, tap on Record.
Starting a Recording
On the Capture screen, start your recording by tapping Rec, or by pressing the red button on your Primary marker.
This shows your recording time limit.
Bookmark during Recording
Quickly mark a point in the lesson to view and reflect on later.
While recording, create a bookmark by pressing the �up or down arrow on the �Primary Marker.
***Pro Feature***
Stopping a Recording
Tap on the Stop button to stop your recording, or press the red button on the Primary marker again.
Saving a Recording
On the Edit project screen, you can change the title, turn off the audio, and trim the video. You have the option to add an Intention for the video. This will change your video into Sessions mode for self-reflection. Click Done.
Saving a Recording
Your video will upload to your app’s library, and your Teams by Swivl library if Auto-upload is selected in your Settings.
The Storage Saver feature automatically deletes the video from your mobile device after upload has completed. Do not interrupt the wifi or turn off the mobile device during upload.

The Web Platform
With Teams by Swivl, you can securely view videos for self-reflection, share with a colleague, or share with a coach. It’s easy to use and completely secure inside the platform.
Webcam and Screen Recording with Swivl
Go to your Library. �Click on Add New Project and select Record.
Select your preferred recording option, select your microphone, and click start recording.

Sessions mode gives you the framework for a complete coaching or self-reflection session, including the ability to set an intention, leave feedback through timestamped comments, and end with a summary.

Viewing Modes: Sessions
Sessions: Intention
Define what you are specifically looking for in the video, not only for yourself, but for your feedback partners. When setting an intention, ask yourself:
Sessions: Feedback
When leaving feedback, you can utilize any combination of timestamped commenting, bookmarking, prompts, and rubrics to share thoughts, ask, or answer questions to collaborate with and support the Session creator.
Sessions: Summary
Summarize your learnings and flesh out next steps. When leaving your summary, think about the following:
Sessions: Share
Sessions is by nature, a collaborative tool. The recommended sharing methods are Direct or Group. Weblink sharing is not ideal for Sessions Mode because the viewer will not be able to see your Intention and Summary.
Viewing Modes: Feedback
When leaving feedback, you can utilize any combination of Timestamped commenting, Bookmarking, Prompts, and Rubrics to share thoughts, ask, or answer questions to collaborate with and support the Session creator.
Viewing Modes: View-Only
View-only mode is best for sharing with parents and students. It allows the viewer to see the video and timestamped comments. However, they are not able to respond to the comments.

The following slides can be referenced for additional details on utilizing features of Teams by Swivl such as editing, organizing, sharing, and making copies.

This is the landing page when you initially log into your Teams by Swivl account.
Each drop down menu will provide you with different key aspects of Teams by Swivl.

Add Title, Description and Tags
From the Video Project Page, click on the 3 dots. Select Project Data. Update the title, description and video tags. Select Save.
Click on the 3 dots, select More and then Edit Video.
You are able to Trim the beginning and/or end, Cut time out of the video, and change your Thumbnail.
Pause the video at a point in time, click either the star or the light bulb. Use one of the prompts or enter your own comment on the right. When you are done, click post.

Generate a Weblink
Click on the Share arrow and select weblink. Create a weblink, then copy the weblink and share. You have the option to toggle off weblink access.
Direct Share Your Video
Click on the Share arrow and select Direct.
Enter the email address of another Teams user, or select a name “From your team”.

Click on the Share arrow and select Group.
Choose the group you would like to share the video to and click Share.

Send a Copy vs. Duplicate

Send a Copy in Teams
Click on the 3 dots, select More and then Send a copy.
In the pop up, enter the emails of individuals you would like to send a copy of the video to and click Send.

Click on the 3 dots, select More and then Duplicate.
In the pop up, enter a new title for the duplicate version. You will still have the original video.

Click on the Share arrow and select Embed.
Copy the code and paste it into your website or blog.

Make a Shared Video Private
Click on the Share arrow and select Make Private.
If you set this project to private, it will be removed from the feeds of users and groups where it was previously shared. Weblink access and embedded videos will no longer be accessible.

Note: You can only use a USB-A cable for Integrated Audio. If your computer only has a USB-C port, then you will need a USB-C adapter.
Integrate Swivl with teacher computer using a Swivl Link or USB A cable. Remote student audio will be broadcast through classroom speakers or computer speakers. Project the live stream for in-class students. Screen share digital content through the live stream.
If you have your own set of AC powered speakers with an adapter, you can connect them directly to the Swivl Robot. Remote student audio will be broadcast through the speakers.
Teacher can hear remote student audio using wired earbuds connected to Marker. Teacher wears right earbud only. Earbuds must have a microphone.

9. Tap Join to join the meeting you started on your computer.
10. Either scroll down to your Meeting Room or enter a Meeting Code.

11. When you enter the meeting, Select Cancel audio or No Audio.

12. Spotlight: Once you have three participants in the session, spotlight the Swivl participant from the host computer.
13. Once Spotlighted, Zoom will ask you again if you would like to join audio on your iOS device. Select “Later.”

8. Join the MS Teams meeting on the mobile device. If prompted, select “Add this Device” .

When you join the meeting, enable video and leave mic muted. During Integrated Audio, the Swivl participant video will take over the video feed from your computer webcam. You can still screen share from your computer.

9. Learn More will take you to a Safari browser. Ensure you launch Canvas/BBB from Safari.

11. After you launch BBB, join the meeting from your mobile device. Select Listen only.

1. Connect AC powered speakers to wall outlet.
Plug in USB adapter to Swivl robot.
Connect speakers to adapter. Turn on speakers.
Tip: Adjust the speaker volume to max. Then, click on the directional arrow “up” on primary marker until you have achieved maximum volume.

Press and hold down on the power button to turn on the robot.
