Viewing Modes: Sessions

59 of 229

Sessions: Intention

Define what you are specifically looking for in the video, not only for yourself, but for your feedback partners. When setting an intention, ask yourself:

  • What do you hope to accomplish in this video?
  • Where do you want your viewers to focus so they know how to reflect, question, and comment throughout your video?

60 of 229

Sessions: Feedback

When leaving feedback, you can utilize any combination of timestamped commenting, bookmarking, prompts, and rubrics to share thoughts, ask, or answer questions to collaborate with and support the Session creator.

61 of 229

Sessions: Summary

Summarize your learnings and flesh out next steps. When leaving your summary, think about the following:

  1. Did you meet the Intention you set?
  2. If not, what will you do differently next time?
  3. What are your next steps from here and how will you use what you learned in this video to impact other areas of your instruction going forward?

62 of 229

Sessions: Share

Sessions is by nature, a collaborative tool. The recommended sharing methods are Direct or Group. Weblink sharing is not ideal for Sessions Mode because the viewer will not be able to see your Intention and Summary.

63 of 229

Viewing Modes: Feedback

When leaving feedback, you can utilize any combination of Timestamped commenting, Bookmarking, Prompts, and Rubrics to share thoughts, ask, or answer questions to collaborate with and support the Session creator.

64 of 229

Viewing Modes: View-Only

View-only mode is best for sharing with parents and students. It allows the viewer to see the video and timestamped comments. However, they are not able to respond to the comments.
