Exams will run from Monday 15th - Friday 19th November 2021.
Your normal school timetable is suspended for that week & you will follow the Exam Timetable provided to you for your Year Group.
All exams are 2 hours long.
5th Years ONLY: Some exams may be 1 hour 30 minutes and if this is the case, you will have 30 minutes before that exam to study. You must arrive at the time stated on your timetable. You should ask your class teachers next week if your exam is 1 hour 30 minutes or 2 hours. All 6th Year exams are 2 hours.
5th & 6th LCA ONLY - Exams are 1 hour in length. (Note: The Times are different for 5th LCA on Wednesday).
Exam Answer Booklets will be provided to you, so you don’t need to bring paper.
Ensure you have your own pens, pencils, rulers, highlighters, calculators as required as sharing won’t be permitted. The school won’t be providing these - it is your responsibility to ensure you are prepared.

Attendance
You should only attend school during the week when you are timetabled to have an exam based on the subjects you study - it is essential that you mark the slots that apply to you on your timetable.
It may happen that you have an exam from 8:45-10:45 and that your next exam isn’t until 13:35-15:35. In this case, you will have to go home at 10:45 and return at 13:30. If there is an issue with this, please let your Year Head know.
You should arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your exam and go straight to your exam centre.

Rooms
Each Form Class has been allocated a Base Room. You will sit your English, Irish, Maths & Foreign Language exam in your Form Class groups (eg: 6A all together). The supervisor will hand out the papers to each student based on the teacher you have.
You will sit your Option Subjects as a class group (eg: Ms Kelly’s Biology group together, Mr Delahunty’s Biology group) - this is clearly stated on your timetable and it also lists the room you are to go to.

Protocol
During each exam, there is to be no talking and you are not to communicate with another student.
iPads, books, copies, should be in your bag and placed underneath your desks (not beside you) - your bag should be closed.
You will be directed where to sit by the supervising teacher and this teacher will take note of the seating plan for Contact Tracing purposes.
All Covid-19 protocol must be followed at all times - including the wearing of face masks, wiping of desks, regular sanitisation of hands when entering and exiting a classroom.
